Fire up now warrior and into the fray.
Write, write,,,escape the dozing demons of the day.

Caffeine addiction a great affliction,
keeps drooping eyelids at at distance, at bay.

Ahhh! sleep. Nothing like escaping, laying back, dreaming, floating.
Infuse a coffee nut or four.

Awake! Writers cramp! As I pour my thoughts again and more.
Weariness strikes late but I must enter these words before,
I lay.

Kind regards,

bally

Thank you ATS
Where once non existent
Is now a reality
Words will flow
Thoughts presented

Where would one reply?
Such a mystery
Shall it someday
be available?

The Admin made a decision
to perhaps mend the division
that had been created
by views and opinions heavily debated.

The complaints must have been great.
Members may have become irate
due to other's choice of expression
and writing obsessions.

Of course I don't agree
but, it's not up to you and me.
It is a political and a conspiracy site
and therein lies the original plight.

It's not a welcoming home for those
with deep and intensely heartfelt prose
or musings that brought, from others, derision
and ultimately initiated this division.

Yes, it's a shame.
In the end, who's to blame?
They could have taken it all away
and who's to say they won't someday.

A thread that is, ultimately, all ours
with no accolades or flags, just singly given stars.
Who is to care? There are no points to bear.
It can become like the Shed and we'll just gather to share.

P.S.Keep writing writers! Please don't let the thread die.

There once was a forum for fiction
That became a poetry addiction
Members posting for flags
It became a huge drag
And really caused some friction

I was posting a lyrical verse
In a limerick style so terse
When a bird most foul
Responded to her pal
Her PM contained the most vile curse

('explanation marks'? Shame *ding* shame *ding*)

The Lie

Tormented heart, shattered soul.
Melancholy posture, weeping within.
Cursed by Cupid, pierced unbeknownst,
from quiver came forth damnation.
Oral expression of falsity perceived,
as genuine upon an optimistic ear.
Spirit of elation transformed bittersweet,
reality testified to the pretense.
Eternally united's finale appears,
the passion presently disperses.
Silence, not golden, strained atmosphere,
insurmountable disputes abounded.
Destined for parting from onset till end,
warring with fate foolhardily.
Yearning for a whisper “I'll love you, always.”
Crushed by the truth, “Goodbye.”

Do you have a little baggage on your chest,
do you have to wear a really tight vest?
Me and Augustus we know your pain
but stick out your pecs and board the train
This train is bound for glory and moob-land
So tell us the story of your mammary gland...

I'm not qualified to judge,
some rhymes
as verbal sludge,
yet it seems,
disregarding causality,
some only post,
for quantity.

Please don't tell
of your tormented hell
and your tight fitting vest
or swollen chest.
I cannot bear to read.
I'm sure my eyes would bleed.
Keep it stuffed down inside
or continue to hide.
One could simply lay across the tracks
but whatever you do, don't share the facts.

Oh please have mercy, don't be dictating
I haven't even mentioned that they've started lactating
It's a curse let me tell you, make no mistake..
But to be fair I make a pretty good cheesecake.

Wait... I'm confused.

There once was a 'dude' named Blup
Who was a rather clever chump
He claimed he was man
Part of an odd social plan
But he didn't pee standing up

Oh for heavens sake...

I emerged from chaos,
Seeking peace,
Amongst familiar surroundings,
Some sweet relief,
Only to find that in my absence,
The place had fallen,
Consumed by madness,
A witless drive to break apart,
Two examples of,
The wordsmiths art,
Creative writing,
Though both they be,
Placed either side,
Of some great sea,
Tis folly to follow the few,
When faced with the will of the many,
Tis folly to call a poet,
A mere peddler of chit chat chat and whimsy,
Some tell stories in the rhyme,
Some weave dreams,
Of space and time,
And all that is needed,
To see the tale in the weave,
Are just a few more neurons,
Than one needs to be able to breathe.

Homer wrote "The Odyssey"
a short story,
in the form
of poetry.
If his writing today here
could grace,
in which category
would it be placed?

The way walker held his hand,
He seemed far for this land,
A eye from above gave him away,
The sheep of love made his day,
His story was kept away,
The poem he wrote,
Was sent on a boat,
The boat sank,
So he drank...
