Ann Coulter told to 'kill yourself' at Comedy Central Rob Lowe roast

At an event that was billed as a roast of Rob Lowe...it seems that Ann Coulter became the target of many a pointed barb, from the star-studded celebrity presenters - and many of them were downright tasteless.

Here are a few examples:

“Ann is one of the most repugnant, hateful, hatchet-face b----es alive,” British comedian Jimmy Carr declared, as audience members cheered. “It’s not too late to change, Ann. You could kill yourself!”

it was Coulter, 54, who spent much of the evening in the hot seat — at one point being labeled a “two faced b----h” and a “transvestite whore.”

Super Bowl hero Peyton Manning got in a few jabs, announcing, “As you all know, earlier this year, Ann Coulter won the Kentucky Derby!”

Ralph Macchio: “I respect you. You are the one female commentator who is not afraid to stand up ... to take a leak.”

Nikki Glaser: “Ann, you are awful. The only person you will ever make happy is the Mexican who digs your grave.”

I mean, seriously?

I can only imagine the hue and cry if a bunch of Trump supporters stood up at a public event (it will be aired on Comedy Central), and made horrifyingly sexist and violent remarks about a female Clinton supporter/commentator.

Will Hillary step up and disavow these outrageous attacks against a female - while Coulter was in the room no less? Will the MSM run non-stop panel discussions, tearing apart the people that uttered these remarks (nothing remotely comedic about this, sorry)...and projecting this hate speech onto Hillary Clinton and her campaign - as they most assuredly would do if this had come from the other side of the political spectrum.

I think we all know the answer to those questions. Nope.

Left wingers are allowed to have unbridled hatred (including racial hatred) for their political opponents. It's all part of their psychotic belief that anything and everything they do in the pursuit of politics is justified.

Have you ever watched those roasts?
She had her chance to come up and take pop shots too. Now I never agree with telling someone to kill them self, but I don't think Clinton has any obligation to come out and say anything about this.

Anne volunteered to come, she wanted to promote her book, if she didn't know people would be making fun of her at that point that is her fault. I am sure they went after everyone on those chairs just like they went after her.

I agree that it was tasteless. But everyone is fair game. I used to enjoy celebrity roasts when they were funny.

Now they are crass.

But she knew that going into it.

As others pointed out, it was a roast. If you ever watched these, it's not just the one single person the roast is for that gets roasted. Everybody catches heat. That's how they've always been. She knew that.
Second of all, what's with all the crying from the party of "we're too PC!"

This is some funny #. The right constantly whines that we're too PC, but when someone goes off on them and annihilates them...at a ROAST....the one place where you have got to be #ing stupid to think you're not going to get made fun of....then the tears flow.

Telling somebody to kill themselves because of something that is out of their control....yeah, that's in poor taste and is terrible.
Telling someone to kill themselves because of how they act and the things they say....well, this lefty isn't going to shed a tear over it.

Meh. I've watched celebrity roasts over the years. Anyone on stage or even in the audience is fair game. I'm sure Ann got in a few good pot shots as well. Roasts used to be funny. The jokes were even somewhat intellectual at times. They were crass even 'back in the day' but maybe not as crass as now. Watch a few of the old Dean Martin roasts and you'll see what I mean. Don't attend if you are a snowflake. Ann knew what would happen and I'm sure she came 'loaded for bear'.

Ann Coulter discovered a niche and crafted a persona to make money.

The only thing that surprises me is - - she has defenders.
