I refered to the same commercial in my OP. So your point is that people remember her having braces bcause they actually saw braces in this commercial? Lol.
I never saw that commercial before yesterday.
You just said yourself you remembered seeing braces watching the movie, because of bad quality and low resolution, but now you are going to claim you were influenced by that commercial? Which is it?
I would say the commercial is refering to the movie, suggesting there were braces in the movie, which is why I posted it in my op.

I dont know anything about that movie (although I loved playing as Jaws in Goldeneye 64).
But I do know about a movie term known as "Goofs". Pretty much every movie ever has some listed in the Trivia section of their imdb page. Even some of these modern billion dollar box office flicks are loaded with them.
Here is the such page for this film:
www.imdb.com...
Although everybody remembers Dolly (played by Blanche Ravalec) wearing braces in the scene where she meets Jaws for the first time, she doesn't wear braces at all!
Hmmmmmmm......
So, although everyone remembers Dolly wearing braces, because I do, and in all fairness I remember it well because that's what she was meant to be wearing to align with Jaws and his metal teeth.
I don't know about the Mandela effect, but someone is screwing with us here.
Because no other explanation fits?
You know what, this is the first time I actually believe that we live in a manipulated world.
Sure we are manipulated by fellow humans, but the manipulation appears to go beyond that.
Man, this weird, seriously. I am a James Bond fan and I have watched Moonraker many times. I distinctly remember Dolly having braces/retainer.
I remember it too. I watched the clips from an old vhs copy and the quality was bad. I think that, coupled with old TV resolution, is what gives me that memory.
You truly don't know much about films do you?
The whole point of Dolly having braces was in order to give her empathy for Jaws and Jaws empathy from Dolly.
There would be no point in the character otherwise.
That's the whole point in your rationale.
Or....it was just another big t$tty blonde in a Bond movie and it was IRONIC that a girl with perfect teeth would like a guy with a jacked up mouth.
I never said I was influenced by the commercial.
You say there is no point to her without braces.
What was the point of her in that timeline when they made the movie then?

You know, I didn't even remember her having a heaving bosom, all I remember about her is the braces, whether it was a worn VHS recording or whether it was aired on T.V.
Strange, very strange.

What was the point you were trying to make with it?
You say there is no point to her without braces.
I said the specific scene doesn't make sense without her having braces.
What was the point of her in that timeline when they made the movie then?
That timeline? You mean THIS reality?
You keep coming up with contrived arguments that don't change the issue which almost every responder sofar, including yourself, is noticing.
You failed to answer my question.

Just adding that I also distinctly remember Dolly having braces. And she wasn't such a looker either...
A quick image search of Blanche Ravalec doesn't show any images of her with braces that I can find.
More than happy for a rational explanation to come along (like if there were multiple shots of that scene using different actresses) but until that time, I'm going to go and hide in a cupboard now. Reality appears to be made of play-dough.

You failed to answer my question. If this reality was altered due to converging realities, what was the point of her role in the reality that took this one over?
I read once that Jaws’ girlfriend Dolly, whom he meets in Rio de Janeiro, was initially meant to have a mouth full of shiny metal braces, but for some reason they didn’t put this in the film. I think this would have been perfect! It saddens me that this wasn’t included.

Your question was based on something I didn't say, and it was a response to a post that you failed to actually reply to, so cry me a river. What you say doesn't even make sense since she has no braces in THIS reality. You tell me what her purpose is in this reality.

She was and still is a plot device
However

Thoughts on… Moonraker (1979)
Now answer me this, why would they "for some reason" not give Dolly braces ?
They intended for her to have braces, everybody including yourself remembers her having braces, yet somehow she doesn't
Are you saying that it all makes perfect sense that everybody is remembering something that never happened in a very iconic moment of an iconic film ?
Are there any other films of all the thousands of films you've likely watched where you remember anybody wearing braces ?
