Donald Trump: Make America Safe Again - The Most Sane Response to Dallas

For all those who call him a racist, intolerant bigot:

In 1997 he single-handedly sued Palm Beach to allow African Americans and Jews to attend the Everglades golf club. He paid his own money to fight old bigoted rules, he sent the council a copy of "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?" to get them to reexamine their old, stodgy views. He turned those rules around so that everyone could enjoy the same activities:

He has always been accepting of the LGBT community, more so than the Clintons, long before he was campaigning for anything. Source

I sure wish we had a third and fourth option but we don't, so between Hillary and Trump I chose this guy.

People familiar with my Trump threads and posts in other threads will know that I am not a Trump supporter. I have tried to be fair to Mr. Trump but have insisted on checking the "facts" asserted in his statements and insisted on stating my observations about his psychology. Most of the time the results have not been favorable to Donald Trump.

But I know that there isn't a politician in a race like this who is not going to put as much "body english" into what he says as he can. Skewing reality is going to happen on all sides.

I have to say, though, that Mr. Trump is getting better. Somebody has told him that to be President he has to be inclusive, not divisive. He's gotten the message.

If Trump continues to refine his speeches, to take off the rough edges, and if he begins to give evidence of a subtler more nuanced appreciation of political problems, so that he doesn't sound like every second blowhard down at the local watering hole, this could become his race to lose.

I think Trump has a huge deficit of political sophistication. Can he become "Oval Office Ready" in three and a half months? Is he a fascist lunatic who is going to run amok in office? Will a majority of Americans take a chance on him? I don't know, but I think the heavily armored battleship USS Hillary had better start showing some flash, or she is going to be sent to the bottom by a plywood PT boat called "The Donald".

The comedian has it all wrong of course. Trump is not stoking fears he is responding to the reality we live in a world full of haters who can't see their own hate. We either take the Ghandi/Dr. King approach or we descend into hellish anarchy. We have to understand an eye for an eye makes us each blind. We have to say no you are not allowed to be called a "religion" to those that practice brutality. But mostly don't blame the innocent for the crimes of the evil when they seek refuge from the onslaught. Do they not look at the group committing these heinous crimes against humanity and then try to blame the victims?

Jobs won't stop killings involving mental illness but it will clean up a lot of these failing cities.

Jobs increase the overall sense of well being in society. That well being combats stress factors caused by relationship issues. Most relationship issues are related to high prices, low wages, mortgages, rent, loans, debt, high energy bills, gas prices, insurance payments, and the cost of food. In other words, most arguments are about money. The more stable the economy, and the ability of the common man to access it on reasonable exchange, the more stable the household and family.

Family and Ambulances are the first responders and only solution to mental illness. A strong family has the immediate presence and perception to handle mood swings, depression, paranoia, etc. When that fails, ambulances, rather than police are always the better choice. Police showing up implies the mentally ill are criminals, that they have tainted records, and being escorted away in handcuffs does nothing but exacerbate feelings of paranoia, antisocial behavior, and distrust of society.

Larger families are also more stabilizing than broken nuclear models. A family of 2 or 3 is seldom capable of weathering calamity, especially when one of the family members starts descending to the level of homicidal ideation, or joins zealot movements like religious or racist extremists. A larger family, with a large presence in an active household, extended members, etc., is better able to handle necessary deprogramming from hate groups, cults, and dangerous trends. In essence, the large family is a microcosm of the village model. In large urban centers, millions of people have either fragmented nuclear models or live entirely alone, and have acquaintances and smartphone associates intended to pass for real friends and family. This model weakens society and breeds the disease of a sick mind.

Humans are social animals. You may think you are the exception to the rule. You are not.


Trump's short speech, regardless of who wrote it, points out the basic two problems with America. They do not have stable incomes, and they do not have the traditions that makes America Safe, or Great. America needs both. If we continue to move Forward on this current path, we will never be Stronger Together, because a nation of broke and broken homes will never be able to get its s*** together.

As a Brit with a semi-interest in the US presidential race, I must say that for the first time, I think I've seen the best side of Donald Trump. He is clearly reading from a script, but all politicians with any sense do the same, to ensure all bases are covered and there's no screw-ups, Bush Jnr style.

I respect what he said, and he seemed genuine in his concern, and in his pledge to create jobs & lower the statistic of people experiencing poverty (and associated divisions which spring up like weeds through the cracks of society). I'm less worried about a Donald Trump presidency than I was before. And of course, he won't be allowed to run rampage across the laws & satutes of the USA - hence it is quite possible, that he WILL make America safe agin.

Kudos.

I listened to his speech and it was the most coherent thing I've heard him say so far. He presents the problem well, but his solutions are a bit ineffective.

Nice, and he didn't blame white people like Kankles Hillary did and Obama has done in the past.

Every American has the right to Safety and Peace, and we do need to give the youth of this nation back something in return for the FEAR they've had to live with for far too long, we need to give them a better future! People need to understand what the Police Force is actually for, irregardless whether there are some Ignorant Racist Jerks out there trying to serve, we need to focus on removing them!
