Pub chain Boss Tim Martin is launching a *Brexit* beer mat in his pubs to

press home that prices will actually be lower if the UK fails to reach a trade

deal with the EU. He also states lawyers have said there is no legal reason

for the UK to pay anything on leaving the EU. ..... so why are we kowtowing

and grovelling to them

Back to the beer mats with eight pertinent points on them four to each side.

#1 The vast majority of the public strongly object to the governments crazy
plan to pay £39 billion to Brussels, with nothing in return, Lawyers have
repeatedly said there is no legal obligation to do so.

# 2 Thats £600 for every man woman and child in the UK or £60 million per
MP, Do not pay this money please.

#3 Please also chose *free trade* on leaving the EU on 29th March 2019, by
ending the taxes or (tariffs) which the EU imposes on rice, oranges, coffee,
wine, childrens clothes and over 12,000 other non EU imports,
Ending *tariffs* means lower prices in shops and pubs.

#4 People pay these protectionist *tariffs* every time they shop - and the
government collects the money and sends it to Brussels.

#5 If the unelected President Juncker and his apparatchiks continue to be
obstructive, remember that all EU products can be replaced by similar
alternatives from the UK - or from 93% of the world not in the EU.

#6 Our good friends in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Singapore,
Switzerland and Canada have slashed tariffs - their citizens are better off as
a result and their economies have thrived.

#7 And our good friends in countries like the USA and India are keen to do
trade deals with us.

#8 So please show some resolve by ending these tariffs and leaving the EU
completelyon 29th March 2019.

And remember - procrastination is the thief of time so lets make sure its not
the thief of democracy ... Tim.

I like the beer mats idea. This needs to go further.

Good question, why? Could it be that ordinary people will be better off and their standard of living might well actually be better. Is there a cost to those that have and will they be worse off. Will the people be able to get a better deal. And dare I say it have more impact power. And if there is no legal reason that we should or must pay the EU then other than being a good ally and worried about our credit rating then why on earth would we want to pay the EU. What's the big con? It is almost like the PTB just want to deny us ONX's our wish and hate the fact that the sleeping lion awoke!

In addition to this, why would we want to be part of a protectionist club that will never be able to generate sustainable economic growth for its membership because the model being operated is both undemocratic and flawed!

All the problems are as a result of the lack of direction, leadership and standing firm against the EU. A more determined, "No Deal is better then a Bad Deal" posture would have helped no end! Although I am skeptical about the below being true!

Read into this what you will..........................

"If Britain wants to benefit (from the EU in the future) it must commit to re-accepting EU rules." But by definition doesn't that suggest that we are to ruled by the EU although we wont be part of the membership? Since when did anyone or any party have to accept the rules of something they are not part of or answerable to?

Interesting times we're living in, in the UK that's for sure....

Heck, that is an understatement!
This is probably the biggest national issue I've seen in my life, and none of us really have a clue how it will pan out so we're all running blind with it.

The government certainly needs to strike some deal which benefits all of us or I can see the UK and Scotland parting ways as well. It really is an 'all options are possible' situation, and I just hope common sense prevails.

Biggest I have seen too, previous to this our own Referendum was the biggest, I can also see Scotland leaving, we were promised by the No campaign, in the Scottish referendum that staying in the UK was the only way to guarantee staying in the EU, well that turned out to be a load of $hite, as we all know, Scotland and Wales both voted to remain but we also all know how the rest of the UK voted.

I'm nervous about our future but kind of excited as well...

So basically expats are not prepared to accept the democratic will of the British people which is tantamount to a kind of legal rebellion although they don't even reside in the UK. What a bloody cheek...............................They can just go and f.ck off!!

I've just read an article on the BBC about how New Zealand are banning foreigners from buying homes in their country to help make house prices more affordable (something we should do in the UK in my opinion).

The thing that really caught my eye was the reasoning behind this.
This is what the BBC have said in their article...

Low interest rates, limited housing stock and immigration have driven up prices in recent years.

Just how many times did we say in the Brexit debate that immigration causes house prices to increase (supply and demand), yet the BBC and many other Remainers cried "racist" and say it's nothing to do with immigration and just a lack of house building.

This is just another example of hypocrisy from the BBC and their bias.

Some project fear nonsense

The recent announcement of the NHS running out of medication on a no deal

Brexit, comes from the 'Medicines and Health care products Regulatory Agency'

.....they should be ashamed of this scaremongering.

None of the top pharmaceutical companies come from the EU.

Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Merck are American...Roche and Novartis are Swiss

companies.

They are quite able to fulfill the needs of the drugs need of the UK. Without the

EU regulations and red tape the NHS could be supplied more cheaply and quicker.

AND ANOTHER

A study by the Economists for Free trade group has said trading on WTO terms

in the event of a 'No deal Brexit' need not hold the economy back. British

exports to 111 countries with which the UK trades on WTO terms, have risen by

2.9% a year over the past 23 years which is more than three times the average

0.9% growth in EU countries over the same period. Micheal Burridge the author

of the report said adopting WTO rules could be the very best option for the UK,

and evidence suggested a clean break would be better for the UK as then the

government could concentrate on the setting up of free trade deals.

AND
Then there's this.

Whose bright idea was that? EU will ban halogen bulbs at the end of the month -
after encouraging us to buy them - making lighting our homes TWICE as expensive
The EU-driven ban on the lightbulbs comes into effect at the end of the month
Householders will now have to buy LED lights that at least twice as expensive
The Energy Saving Trust says the move will help cut energy use

WHY DOES THIS APPLY TO US? WE ARE LEAVING AREN'T WE

We hope and with a no deal or its going to be a FAKEXIT whereby we are still subject to EU rules has the EU has said. The bulb conspiracy, that would be a good one!
