Except for the Democrat Senators that liked the Iraq war ideas....

Senate Democratic votes for the Iraq War

If you remember that day, it was a day of speeches. And at least out among the Littles, the final count wasn’t known until the roll was called. Here are your brave warrior Dems, those who voted Yes, covered in testosterone (or confusion) and glory. I’ve highlighted a few names to note:

YEAs — 77

Bayh (D-IN)
Biden (D-DE)
Breaux (D-LA)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Carnahan (D-MO)
Carper (D-DE)
Cleland (D-GA)
Clinton (D-NY)
Daschle (D-SD)
Dodd (D-CT)
Dorgan (D-ND)
Edwards (D-NC)
Feinstein (D-CA)
Harkin (D-IA)
Hollings (D-SC)
Johnson (D-SD)
Kerry (D-MA)
Kohl (D-WI)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Lieberman (D-CT)
Lincoln (D-AR)
Miller (D-GA)
Nelson (D-FL)
Nelson (D-NE)
Reid (D-NV)
Rockefeller (D-WV)
Schumer (D-NY)
Torricelli (D-NJ)

Democrats love WAR

Cowardly democrats who caved to the political pressure of Bush and Fox new's excellent campaign of terror. Not to mention that Bush and his cabinet lied about the circumstances in Iraq.

You guys should LOVE those Demorats lol

Im not surprised. The thing with socialism is that it is a bridge to communism. Both Marx and Lenin said it. In light of what the end result of socialism is, any type of socialist government can have supposedly well meaning programs and ideas. Marx praised President Lincoln for his stand on slavery. But just because socialists take stands on such social issues does not make socialism inherently good. The end result is and always will be some type of statist government control of the people. Some people seem to like that and the rest of us would prefer our liberty. No matter what the French socialists did and said, the end result is not liberte.

I'm honestly not surprised by this. So many of these types of individuals were recruited long ago by communist insurgents. The ends justify the means, and they do not think there is a problem with the collateral damage of imprisoning dissidents and murdering people in the square all for the sake of the collective cause. As John Dewey believed, people exist for the State.

Sooo is the problem that Bernie was in a foreign country, or of a middle eastern religion, or that he's an (unconfirmed) youth communist? Shouldn't his present day beliefs and policies be the point? Im willing to bet there are more skeletons in Donald's and Hillary's closets 50 years ago.

Who knows what they did with daddy's money.

If you would like to gain some insight regarding the subject of this thread, start by feeding "Corporatism and Communism" to your search engine.

You may gain valuable discussion points, considering American's will babble incessantly and never get anything of substance done.

Put that in your search engine and smoke it.

Use that internet the way it is used against you.

One of my biggest problems is that Bernie graduated with a degree in political science, then could not hold down any attempt at a full-time job for close to 30 years while being a socialist activist (and a bum), then got into government, and now thinks he can tell the rest of us how to navigate the path to success.

I don't care about his vacation plans or ethnicity. I don't care about his accent or hair (...though they are funny.)

I make more fun of Trump's hair and YUUUUGE accent.

Guilt by historical association? Pretending Kruschev never existed and that 1968 never happened?

I'd rather have material proof.

Maybe we can start by defining Stalinism instead of throwing around like a lazy US talk radio host?

People falling for this tea party socialist rhetoric that began with that evil Stalinist Obama. After 8 years Obama has changed America into a communist state where the richest have increased their wealth. Can't do anything right can he. Even inevitable communism, he couldn't achieve.

A "bum"? Seems to me he's had a long career in politics - what else do you expect a political science major to do?

We Bernie supporters make fun of ignorant parrots who spew lies about Bernie's intention.

You don't know what you're talking about.
It's not "free stuff" - it's also not "government owned means of production" or "forced equality."

And considering you are supposed to be so high-IQ, it amazes me that you have the gall to spew lies.

Then again you having a "high-IQ" might be a lie, too.
Because the two of you sure do act like you aren't capable of learning on this subject. (That or you are a troll!) I was finishing up High School when you were born (yeah, I keep track of data provided by members) - but I have no idea how you were raised. I doubt it was to be stupid - but then again, parental attitude and willful ignorance is handed down regardless of blood relationship.

So, why do you repeat idiots like Beck and Limbaugh?

Why do you persist with it when you've been shown you are wrong time and time and time again. WHY?

WHat would it take to get it through your skull that what you are insisting every bloody day is PURE FICTION?
It sounds stupid and trollish.
Don't act like a stupid troll.

Actually, you can have a high IQ and still be an ignorant dumb ass. What having a high IQ tells you is that you do well on IQ scoring tests (which will generally mean mathematics and spacial logistics as far as I'm aware.) No more, no less.
It's a pretty bad measure of "intelligence."

Very well stated, and very true.

Plus, some people are talented in one field but hopeless in another......
me? I was good at helping people.

Not so much a biology or chemistry gal - although I tried.
Wanted to be a vet until I saw my dog get run over - after that, wanted to be an ER social worker, but was too susceptible to fainting.
I did get better, though - eventually, as a parent-educator social worker, I often had to attend doctor visits and even emergencies as the translator and case manager.....so many stories I could tell!!!!

Anyway, I guess we're off-topic here.
Thanks for your reply.

She also interned for Reagan & was a self proclaimed "New Democrat" (republican lite as you say) for a long time.

She is nothing less than a power hungry, money hungry corporatist right winger in democrats clothing.

Well to be fair, some people are born leaders and struggle with repetitive jobs. Some people were homeless before becoming world leaders. Personally I would prefer a former bum to someone who was born into wealth and never worked an honest hour. I miss Ron Paul though.

Mhm, and I have heard that Trump supported her bid for president. Seems power hungry people will pander and reverse position as it suits them.

But the problem is many people might think this is true.
How many votes could this cost?
Supporters need to somehow counter this.

No, I think the problem here is you HOPE people might think it is true.

Admittedly, I'm only at the end of the first page, but so far I've seen a whole page of people screaming "LIES!", but not a single post of actual refutation. In other words, I've yet to see anyone, Sanders supporters included, show it to be NOT true.
Maybe someone can tackle that in the next few pages.

Sanders is firmly opposed to the authoritarian policies that Stalin carried out.
American conservatives are far more in line with the authoritarian aspects of Stalinism, pro torture, pro military might, pro mass incarceration, among other things.
More denial

CORRECT. And all too many "liberals" are in line as well, unfortunately. The political leadership has been militarized, authoritarianized, bastardized, several times over. The conservatives are worse than the "liberals", but not by much.

And Sanders himself is no angel as regards militarism. He is WAY too sympathetic to the MIC/war machine, fascist Israel, etc., etc.

However, having said that, it is ridiculous to call Sanders a "Stalinist" or anything remotely like that.
