What? Isn't "Anonymous Facebook Poster" an oxymoron? How is that even possible? They track everything. Right?

My sentiments exactly.

Facebook hasn't closed or suspended the account? They'll suspend an account for someone using fake name. They'll pull photos and posts if people complain.

Facebook logs IP addresses ... there's no way that the authorities can't know who/where this person is. Impossible.

Why the account wasn't shut down and the person arrested within 48 hours of the first post is beyond me.

Facebook was funded by the CIA wasn't it?
I guess that answers your questions....

SO, where is the NSA to track this lunatic huh? I will tell you right now, if he isn't caught, especially by posting on facebook, which is the most hideous FBI trap of all time. I will call false flag, because there is no way the government is this stupid. Even I can find a way to track him down with the right tools.

If this man/kid or w/e is not caught, KNOW that your government is incompetent and corrupt. If you are an ANON reading this, you know damn well how to track these people down via DOX. If a 14 year old can track someone like this down, this should be easy for grown adults who already have facebook rigged.

Sorry, but this one news made me angry. So many expensive toys the government has with the NSA and guess what? It sure isn't being used to catch "terrorists" is it?

All we need is the fb poster to download an illegal copy of the latest star wars movie and will catch him in a second.

If they cant catch trace the IP to a person i expect a fowl odor to spread quickly.

Oh, I think they will have had this person (male, I suspect) in their sights for some time already, and probably under 24/7 surveillance. All they've done is give him more time to provide them with more evidence to use against him.

Something about the use of these words in the post lead me to think it is a male: "security", "scenario", "arsenal" and "100% capacity". Just a gut feeling.

If it's true about the arrests, we should know pretty soon.

Hope it is just some angry kid venting and not a real possibility.

The thing is, if someone is capable of coming up with all that very graphic detail, and clearly doesn't have any fears about being traced and caught, they are a danger to others. They've thought about this, they've fantasized about doing exactly what they're describing. That makes them a danger to others.

This is a pretty disturbed individual, even if the authorities are calling this not credible they should be treated as a risk until this person has been found and apprehended.

I agree with this, as someone who studied the human mind I know that once someone has set their sights on these fantasies, or revenge, they are extremely dangerous to others. In most school shootings, there is one thing most of them have in common, the shooters were victims of bullying. If the bullying is done non stop, it can drive a person to the edge of insanity, or rage. Once rage sets in, they become blinded and fueled by their emotions.

How I would solve this case if I was investigating on school grounds?

Question the students if they have witnessed any bullying around.
Identify the bullies in the school
Question them if they noticed anyone depressed.
Question them if there was anyone who has fantasized about shooting anyone.
Question students if they know anyone who plays call of duty or violent video games.
Have the teachers hand out fill out questionnaires to students with the above questions.
Lock down the school until the individual is caught, or increase its security to bait and trap.

We have either a very depressed, vengeful individual, or a shooters video game fanatic. There could be other types, but I am willing to bet on the first two options as primary, mostly because of statistics.

Let's hope this is the case. Because this is a possible crime that can be prevented. But whether or not the man was "trolling" he technically still caused terror by what he posted which caused people to spend resources. IMO, I would make an example of this person regardless on whether or not he intended to do the shooting. People must know, that these attitudes will not be taken lightly. And if you post terror, you will be held accountable according to the law.

I'm not sure how it is with American militia departments, but here in Australia there are rivalries between normal cop, federal cops, and pretty much every other department.
For instance, I know for a fact that if a female calls state police complaining about a facebook stalker, they will simply say "we can't do anything about it" and pretty much hang up on her.
Because in Australia 'using a carriage service to menace or harass' is a federal offense (upgraded after 9/11), but the state police will not even bother to refer the case to the feds.

While in this days and times we can not dismiss the danger of mass murdering and terrorist attacks, I got the feeling that his could be some very smart kids trying to keep the school close so they can skip classes.

Eventually they will get them.

As JacKatMtn said they just want more power and control so they allow (or cause) this to go on.

Millie might be popular, the girl might not be. Pure speculation on my part though.

Agreed, plus sou and due to their poor spelling the school/police have a small list of suspects that can be easilly narrowed down - hopefully the authorities aren't as stupid as the poster and can catch them first.

Even a high school kid should know to use TOR.

Easy Peasy to create a FB account and it would appear to be from Bulgaria or where ever. Long as they don't click on pdfs and embedded links revealing their true IP, tracing them would be difficult if not next to impossible.
