Was hoping this was going to be more like the comic it is based on. But Fox turned it into Lucifer helping the police solve crimes. If this was on anything other than network television it could of been epic.

Mike Carey's 75 issue Lucifer series is easily one of the best things written in the medium of comics. At least in my opinion.

I like the show. And Lucifer. I found it entertaining, and light hearted humour. It's a nice change from the graphic violence on the drama styled law and order type shows.

If I'm being socially engineered - so be it.

The dark side of people in general is much worse than Lucifer's.....

I like the show so far. He's a great character. The female cop, is just.....breathtakingly beautiful. Those eyes...damn.

And it has kind of an interesting mystery...why is the cop immune to his charms, and why can she actually hurt him?

My bet is that she's a living descendant of JC himself, and simply doesn't know it of course...to be revealed in due time. It's been fun watching her waffle between belief and disbelief of Lucifer's claims. I love how he doesn't hide it, and just owns the Lucifer thing. (and his dislike of children, often treating them like a puppy, is downright hysterical).....

I reckon it's going to turn out that the lady detective will turn out being one or another incarnation of Lilith or something. That would make more sense.

In the comic, Maz, Lucifers number two at Lux, is a child of Lilith. But in the show she seems to be a demon.

My best guess if they follow the broad strokes of the comics, is that the lady detective will somehow be related to the Archangel Michael.

As the comics had a mysterious female character, Elaine Belloc, who Lucifer was interested in finding out where her powers came from. Who ended up being the half human, half angel, daughter of Michael. Of course that character was much younger, had a different name, and was not a police officer.

But with all the changes to the show from the source material. I can easily see them ditching everything but the daughter of Michael stuff. So they could turn the character into a love interest for Lucifer. Since these type of shows seem to rely on a, will they or won't they, dynamic. Sort of like the show Castle or Bones.

I could even see them splitting the Elaine Belloc character between the detective character and her daughter.

Interesting, and now you mention it, that fits an awful lot better than what I had thought of!

That's what's her face from Chicago Fire.

For 3 seasons you can oogle her. Although she plays a lesiban in that series.

And in Lucifer she plays and 'ex' porn star.

Cool info on the original story line as I have never read the comics. Thanks.

He can bleed? In the fourth episode?
I really hope they make it so only Chloe can wound him & this is not a plot ploy to "humanize" his character.

First time I emailed a show in my life to tell them as much.

Why must you always exaggerate with every pointless post.
She merely flashed her boobies in "Hot Tub High School" according to the story, she wasn't a "porn star".

Good Grief. Get a grip. It's just a tv show.

Same difference. Just put a 'soft' in front porn.

My comment to you wasn't about the show so much as your posting.
Everywhere you go your posts are consistently filled with exaggerated BS whatever the topic.

I know what it was about. An Ad homenim. That had exactly nothing to do with Lucifer.

Well then back on topic,,
What is your opinion of Lucifer now being susceptible to wounds?

We don't really know that he is.

He may just be susceptible to HER wounding him (my bet).

But, so far, he doesn't know otherwise. No way to know until someone tries it. Or, could be God punishing him for abandoning his post.

If Satan was a corn-ball.

My gf watches it.

I still await its cancellation.

ALL HAIL THE REAL CHIEF

Actually in all honesty the guy reminds me of a gay roomate I once had, I called him Wilma. They look a lot a like too. just not the accent and mine was from LA. Heard the devil went down to Georgia... so... you neveh know.

That would add to her mystery & we get Old Scratch back instead of Luci.

This new apprehension of mortal wounding is already getting old, I like him when he's throwing people through plate glass windows.

We still don't know if he's able to be wounded by anyone. The guy shooing him in last night's episode seemed to miss him each time. He still has the strength it seems. Maz's trick with the ex-fiancee was pretty damn funny.

Curious to see how the wings play into it. They obviously have some kind of innate power (hence the wrong hands comment). From the preview, seems like some kind of auction house, but who would know they were there?

Yes this is a very gay Satan.

Actually bi from the evidence in the show. Though leaning more towards women. Which makes sense of course, that Satan would be pretty much open to anything considered "sin"....when you think about it.

I think it's creepy. Not because of what the show's about or anything--it looks like it's probably a good show (--but I think the actor is not nearly pretty enough to play Lucifer...and I always imagine him as a blonde for some reason).

--You see, what I'm tweaking out about is the fact that the show's basically trying to make Lucifer out as being your friend. Which is twisted and utterly incorrect. Just wondering if anyone else agreed. But I, for one, will not be watching this show.

I just think it's really funny how out-and-in-the-open it is. Truly a sign of the times we live in, I suppose.

You know as someone who watches anime, you should know that there are quite a few animes that have made the devil a relateable character as well.

I caught up on it yesterday, I'm not totally sucked in but, i'll keep watching, I want to know what the deal is with him and that bird (can't remember her name), I thought he was just vulnerable to her, but last night he was dodging bullets from the biker, so, maybe not, is he becoming mortal? like I say, it's not great but I want to keep watching.

It really is nothing like I thought it would be, I don't know if I should applaud that or be pissed off?
