I thought Lilith was Adam's first wife and maybe Lucifer's lover.

I have never heard of Lucifer having a mother.

I guess they can go Annunaki on us and pull up Nana or Ishtar.

Asherah is a Goddess in Semetic tradition.

Or if we are going out of Hebrew traditions there is plenty to choose from.

What or whoever they dig up, it should prove to be very interesting.

I still have not figured out where they are planning to go with this show.

Maybe they have no set direction and are just feeling us out.

Possible, I suppose, just that my assumption is that Lucifer existed before man of course, and Lilith was after that, so can't be his mom.

Stepmom maybe?

Maybe in the show, God is similar to Zeus....

Or, they could go with...yep, this is probably it...

I saw the 1st episode of Season 2. So far it is indeed interesting.

One scene quickly brought to mind. Corinthians 2 11:13-15. Not pushing religion here; I am not a fan, but it triggered my conditioning with the scene where he was asking for intervention.

[13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.]

Were it not for this thread I never would have known this show existed.

Checked it out, four episodes in and it's absolutely charming!

Might take me a while to catch up on everything compared to others here, but golly what a dynamic little interpretation!

It is indeed an interesting take on Satan and his fall from grace.

Now this twist with Mom???

It was bad enough when Lucifer was dealing with his Daddy issue, now they throw Mom into the mix?

What is the deal with Chloe's eyes?

Something us just not right with her.

What's to be confused about ?

The basic gist of Lucifer is:

1. he's got mommy and daddy issues.

2. He got sick of being in hell, and decided to come to our realm to run a bar, and party like only Lucifer can.

3. He's got the hots for a lady cop and plays a 'detective' to woe for her affections.

4 enter his mom that is using Lucifer to get back at GOD for some reason that will be written in later.

Not a bad show to watch.

There are worse things being aired.

I guess I have to wait for the write ins because there are way too many unfinsihed crossroads at the moment.

He definitely has mommy and daddy issues. Right along with the, Dad loves you best, thrown in.
