Oh now not again! Tomorrow is the symbol we use to talk about the day after today. Another concept.

That symbol 'tomorrow' does it point to a thing that exists?

Not a thing, a concept, time frame.

So does the symbol 'tomorrow' point to a thing that exists?
No - it is a word that appears in a story.
The symbol 'tomorrow' points to an 'idea' - to something which does not exist and will never exist.

Yes it exists, like unicorns, the soul, e in maths and so on. Not like a table, window and so on, but still existing.

As ideas.
Tomorrow only exists as an idea.
Can anyone show me tomorrow?

The ego and the self are philosophical, psychologic concepts. Of course they exist. As everything you have a symbol for to talk about.

Here you seem to be saying that everything that is spoken about exists.
I was just pointing out that not everything spoken about exists but this is often overlooked. It might be assumed that everything that is spoken about exists but it doesn't.
The story made of words can be deceptive if concepts are not seen for what they are.

Does tomorrow exist?
You stated that everything spoken about exists?
I don't want to get into 'the soul or the self' - you stated everything talked about exists so I am trying to get you to see that it is not true.

How can you say that? I talk about it, so it exists. Others even wrote books about it so it exists. I can define it, or draw you a picture of it.
For tommorow i would draw you a calendar, f.e.
For the self i would draw the jungian circle. It clearly exists.

No one has seen tomorrow and no one ever will - it is an idea - a story.

There is a pub in town that has a sign above the bar that says:
FREE DRINKS ALL DAY TOMORROW.
No one ever gets a free drink.

But 'tomorrow' doesn't exist now does it?
And 'tomorrow' will never exist - will it?

The symbol 'tomorrow' exists but it speaks of something which doesn't - that is all I am saying. I say this because your post claimed that 'everything talked about exists' - I am questioning that.

Concepts don't have existence - existence has concepts.

Sorry but that doesn't make any sense.
Unless you are trying to say you need to be human to have the capability to talk about concepts?
This thread is about the neutral observer we derailed it enough, i think.
Why don't you make your own and we talk about your concept of reality there? Explain where you're coming from?

Sorry - when I see something written that is not true - I call it out.

But you can't and you didn't. How often do i have to repeat the word concept? Especially when it is so damned f*ing obvious?
I am seriously curious, make a thread about your concept of reality, please? Or is it impossible because it doesn't exist?

I did not say that you need to be human to have the capacity to talk about concepts.
The 'concept' of tomorrow does not point to anything that exists - you stated that anything spoken, any word that arises , points to some 'thing' that exists. I am simply pointing out that the concept, the symbol 'tomorrow', points to some 'thing' that does not exist and never will. This makes your claim untrue.
