2ND Amendment idea: National Militia!

I despise the Koch brothers I’d have them no where near this militia.

With many people being uncomfortable with the ongoing and increasing surveillance state and massive mistrust of the police and government as well the terrorism going around and afraid the government might use that to advance tyranny and take away our freedoms, such an idea comes at the perfect time

and you honestly see no abuses under your militia against people that do not agree with your politics? WOW just F'n WOW. It is really sad to see that some members of the US population are that far off the chain.

I would personally prefer that each state have their own military that protects the state and their people. If that happens to be from the federal government...so be it. Our government would NEVER agree to that for just that reason.

So in other words, you want to create a national militia, based on your personal ideas and beliefs? Why this would scare me and 308 million other people is beyond your belief. You do not understand, this is not a good or feasible idea.

They do. It's called the National Guard.

Most of the time, it’s under the control of individual states, with the state governor acting as commander in chief.

Not quite...a military controlled by the the state not able to be federalized and commanded by the federal government. Our own military to fight for our rights as the states and their citizens.

Why do we need a military to fight for our rights? What are they going to do, invade D.C.? Storm the Supreme Court because they said that we can't have laws that prohibit same sex marriage?

In any case, the OP wants a national "non-police" force.

How the hell did you make the jump from military to same sex marriage? Maybe you should talk to someone about such things...it might do you well.

There are many who consider the SCOTUS decision to be a violation of states rights. How would your hypothetical state military respond to such a violation? How would it fight for your right to discriminate against whomever you choose?

I envision very independent minded powerfully trained people paid about 120 grand a year.


Able to travel on plains and trains and other venues where there is fear of terrorism or spree crimes.


They could even go to schools, parks, concerts, malls, where there is fear of an attack.


These guys would be respected with awe when they entered a joint armed to the teeth ready to take on TERRORISTS, MAD KILLERS, and AND ANY OTHER CRIMINAL WHO PREYS ON THE PUBLIC.

What you don’t understand is that traditional police DO NOT PREVENT CRIME.

They investigate crime that they haven’t prevented.

No they don’t do no sex stuff…the Militia is going to stay out of sex and religion.
