Why are child brides a blind spot for humanity?

I've come to the conclusion that there is no difference between the cultural practice of 'marrying' child brides and the practice of ritual abuse. Consider the following definition:

Ritual abuse is a brutal form of abuse of children, adolescents, and adults, consisting of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse, and involving the use of rituals. Ritual does not necessarily mean satanic. What could meet that definition better than forcing a child to 'marry' someone? It's the complete abdication of their rights as a human being. Not only common sense and logic but the experiences and the feelings of the victims bear that out.

We live a million miles away, if it happened in my neighborhood or town or anywhere I could control it would be stopped or the perp would be killed by this grandma. But really, what can we do?

Imagine for a moment that David Icke is right on the money and that indeed, holding the highest levels of corporate and government power, globally, sit a vast network of pedophiles the likes of which would almost be impossible to expose because these same individuals control all media and law enforcement.

Every now and again, a snippet of the truth accidently comes out in main stream media outlets before quickly being 404'd or the likes of Jimmy and Rolf are used as patsys to throw journalists off the real scent as to exactly how high this goes.

This is most likely why:

2. David Icke has been rather accurate in his 25 year expose' - of which many of those truths are now just coming to light.

Google the "deep web" and discover just how massive and popular child porn and pedophilia actually is - it's frightening that it even exists - and given that it does, leads me to think that very powerful individuals are involved in maintaining it's presence!

It is not just the Arabs. The West is just as bad, even worse really because we do not have the excuse of poverty or backwards civilization. In the U.K our politicians and society figures do this kind of stuff. How I hate what they do. There is nothing we can do about it because most people are spiritually dead. They are like little zombies who only think about the value of their properties. As long as the house prices keep going up anything goes.

It's disgusting isn't it... how can people with ACTUAL brains believe that this could be acceptable on any level? religion aside for a second, these grown men are raping screaming and crying little girls. in an ideal world they would all be taken somewhere, anally raped with a comparably sized item (say for example a telegraph pole) and then castrated so they never have a chance to do it again. and all their future earnings should be given to the victim of their disgusting behaviour.

I don't know if it is a 'blind spot' for humanity. There are plenty of organisations dedicated to its eradication, Girls not Brides being just one example.

Arab countries are very backwards in their policies, especially when it comes to women's rights. That is why Europe is so worried about immigrants coming in from Syria. A lot of liberals support Arabs even though they are more extremely conservative than Christians.

I'm a liberal but you do have a point.

There is plenty of talk about tolerance towards Muslim immigrants which is a good thing in a lot of ways.

But they do get a pass on how they often treat their women in a way that American born Christians do not. Look at the criticisms of the Duggars and company for example.

Childhood marriage is something from the desert religions that does need discussing. It should be noted that Christianity is out of step with both judaism where paedophelia was promoted by Rabbi Simeon ben Yohai (as well as Islam). When you have people paranoid about making any changes to their original religious texts regardless of the moral issue of some of the practices that were allowed back in Babylon, or the fact people live a lot longer today thereby negating child brides altogether, there is no excuse for indecently dashing into reproduction, you can't expect anything different because it gives paedophiles a religious excuse for their actions. But its doesn't answer the question why older men today should have the right to desecrate a child's body for their sexual lust and demand for a virgin - really does it?
