Some towns and city centers in the U.K simply do not display Christmas decorations or hold events down to the apparent religious implications anymore.

I don't know if it is a possible outcome anytime soon. But, I feel like many Muslims coming from the middle east want this. Islam is not a peaceful or tolerant religion. However, there are a lot of tolerant and peaceful Muslims. I get the impression that they have to force their own human compassion and understanding into that dreaded religion.

If you saw me or my Muslim mom shopping in the mall, would you call the police on us? If I was a little animated while talking on my phone, would that scare you too? And I can't imagine how some of you would act if you saw me talking to a non-Muslim woman in public. Surely you'd instantly conclude that I was trying to radicalize her, right? Right?

Good point. There is some Islamophobia I notice in America too. All people should be treated the same, although the school board seems in the right and the Muslims seemed like whiny kids wanting their religious way.

We all have the right to express our religious beliefs. I think many express how dumb and idiotic Islam is. They may often express it in a negative and hateful way, which is probably wrong.

Having said that, I find it funny that a half-literate warlord in the middle east is still creating unrest to this day.

To be fair Islamophobia to some degree or another has been bred into most of our respective western cultures since the time of the first crusade. And to be honest Sharia law is a problem for most of us simply because in rather a few instances it contradicts the direct law of the land. Also in my opinion woman certainly seem to get the rough end of the deal compared to there male counterparts in certain circumstance when said Sharia is concerned.

Fear and hatred of Muslims is rational. Fear and hatred of your enemy is a reasonable thing. Teaching your children to fear and hate their enemy is teaching them good survival instincts. The US should oppose Muslim immigration and should oppose Muslim influence at all levels of government.

I was using that as an example of some of the things we have going on here already but without Muslims being behind it obviously.

I think you could say many religions would fit the description of being "not peaceful or tolerant" actually. But even then it wouldn't be fair to say Everyone within those same religions would fit that description. Take enlightenedservant here at ATS who I believe is a Muslim and to me seems like a very intelligent and tolerant person.

We should oppose ALL RELIGIOUS INFLUENCE FROM ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT. Their is nothing more dangerous about Islam then there is about any other religion influencing it's ideas within Gov. as they will all promote unequal treatment for those who do not follow their ideology.

The best part is. People think others "dislike Muslims" because the media has portrayed them in a certain way. It's not that. It's because we (Or at lease I) live among them. And they don't conform. They play by their own rules and expect our WESTERN civilisation to go bakwards to accommodate their backwards way of life. But we can't stand up and speak out because.. that's racist!

This isn't a religious issue. It's a cultural issue.

If they don't want to conform, they have countries that follow their belief system that I'm sure will accept them. Time to go.
