I know this topic's pretty saturated already but I thought this was quite funny:

Gay marriage ruling has Twitter users saying they’re ‘moving to Canada’

...where same sex marriage has been legal for 10 years already.

(PS we also have socialized healthcare and strict gun control here, like much of the rest of the modern western world).

There's been a lot of negativity flowing everywhere lately, so I strictly offer this post for laughs - but I do wanna say to those still adamant on modelling their reality around ignorance, hatred, intolerance, judgment, xenophobia, fear, paranoia, narcissism and zero empathy for others not like yourself.......um you really need to get out more.

Also here's some adorable photos of unconditional love winning out over all of the above:

Not only did we legalize same-sex marriage but it was done by a majority decision of the Canadian government. No referendum, no challenge to the supreme court, just a vote where we decided this was what was best for Canadians.

Oh good, they can take Ted Cruz home. Please, please, please... no one tell these morons that gay people have been able to get married in Canada for 15 years.

We (Americans) should be so lucky.

Then again, the hate keeps them warm at night so maybe that's why...

If I didn't know any better, i might think it's somebody trying to make somebody else look dumb or something.

ROTFL, now that's funny! Ignorance of your own neighbor on display there, nice. What can I say, it's not like knowledge of anything beyond the borders is revered down here. Right winger people said the same thing after ACA,"I'm moving to CANADA!" Um. Psssst. I think y'all should know something about their HC system...

Sorry if it sounds offensive...

But this sounds like one of the perfect moments to say... "Murica".

Your mileage may vary.

Maybe you can give Justin Bieber to the US in exchange?

Anyway, I heard that the beer doesn't taste like weak snakes-piss in Canada either - another good reason to head north.

Nope. Canada can keep the lot of them.

As for the beer? Well...thank god for imports.

This is true. We have much more manly beer here.

But we also support girly beer, dark beer, blonde, pale ale, etc...whatever floats everyone's boat!

I'm partial to Kokanee. Refreshing during these unbearably hot days.

The Canadians should be the ones screaming for stricter border control and immigration policy......
Just sayin.....

Be real. The people who are freaking out over this decision aren't showing a lot of intelligence or knowledge about the issue.

They talk about how people are going to be marrying their goats, cars and fathers. They think churches are going to be forced to do something, they don't know that gay marriage was probably already legal in their state... they're FILLED with misinformation.

This twitter thing is hilarious! Threatening to move to a country where marriage equality has existed for 15 years! LOL! C'mon! That's funny!

Were these the same people who said they were moving to socialist Canada, New Zealand or Britain because that socialist Barack Obama was elected? Hmm.
