Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu has attacked the UK’s National Union of Students (NUS) executive committee for passing a motion to boycott Israeli goods. This motion was aproved in solidarity with the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement and aims to exert economic pressure on Israel over its actions in Palestinian territory.

This very important support shows that people around the world are no longer afraid to call for justice, freedom and equality for the Palestinian people.

Nevertheless, what was very intriguing (but somehow, not a surprise for me) was Netanyahu comparing Israel to ISIS. He ranted like this:

They boycott Israel but they refuse to boycott ISIS. That tells you everything you want to know about the BDS movement. They condemn Israel and do not condemn ISIS; they condemn themselves

source

This is a very low argument to defend any Israel politics against Palestinians. I would certainly be very ashamed, if was Israeli.

He said also,

We have academic freedom, press freedom, human rights. ISIS tramples human rights to the dust. It burns people alive in cages and the national student groups in Britain refuse to boycott ISIS and have boycotted Israel.

I don't want to be that guy...but:
Academic freedom:
The Barbaric Academic Boicote to Freedom of Speech
Academic freedom? Not for Arabs in Israel

press freedom:
Israel falls near bottom of press freedom rankings - 2013
Israel ranks lowly 96th in press freedom rankings-2014
Israel refuses cooperation with UN Gaza war probe, calls it ‘one-sided’
Israel shuns UN rights session on Gaza onslaught

human rights:
Israeli forces abduct Palestinian lawmaker and took her to unknown location.
United Nations Report
Human Rights Declaration

ISIS:It burns people alive in cages, well Israel burned a Palestinian kid alive in the street:
Palestinian boy Mohammed Abu Khdeir was burned alive

Israel is a country that imports/exports products and services.

ISIS is a terrorist organization that moves around and isn't a country.

One you can "boycott" the other you cannot.

How does one boycott ISIS exactly?

Further proof that the lights are on but nobody's home.

Anyways...

It's been debunked...
electronicintifada.net...

In fact, the NUS national executive council did adopt a resolution at its 3 December 2014 meeting that condemns ISIS “as a reactionary terrorist organization that carries out atrocities” against people of the regions where it operates.

a reply to: voyger2 LOL. Boycott ISIS? They are not a recognized nation or any other thing, one cannot boycott it other than bomb it. BB is stretching this more than a bit. I fully support Israel getting off of Palestinian land. Excellent post.

No, obsession borders on hate . I've told you time and time again that I support the two state solution. I also do not approve of Israel's actions .

This isn't a hate thread, though. I don't imagine people hate the Israeli people, that would be hate. We really, really, really don;t like what the Israeli government does to Palestine. Israel was supposed to get off most of that land...how long ago?

I love voyger's Israel-Palestine threads.

Always well researched, full of a myriad of sources...

& aside from all of that he/she appears to be an activist for this cause...

So I think they're well within their rights to focus on a specific topic.

You may feel differently though.

How is it obsession if people keep pointing out the government that stops the 2 state solution? It only supports your belief.

Yet you run in and defend Israel every chance you can even when they are in the wrong. Like this thread you say it's a hate thread when all the op did was to show how Benny is a liar. He didn't bother to point out the stupid remark Benny made.

Our Canadian PM is trying to make boycotting Israel a hate crime.

How much of an A-hole so you have to be that you need to throw people in prison who won't do business with you?
