i don't hang around with guys for the most part. when i do, its forced interaction. but the guys in this area aren't deep thinkers....so the conversational potential is limited.

I would miss society. There would be no infrastructure once the people who keep it together disappear.

Yeah sure, and the hypothetical question goes for both genders.

I just wasn't quite sure whether women actually talk or think like that in their peer group.

Judging by the press and academic gender studies it seems women already have to deal with unwanted sexual attention from males, even in a world with billions of other women.
Then, increasingly the female sex is seen as biologically normative, and the very existence of the male gender requires explanation.

But interesting, and of course I can't speak for an embodiment I wasn't born as (and although I'm bisexual orientation, I wouldn't change being male for the world), but can raise the question for both genders.

Yeah sure, and the hypothetical question goes for both genders. (what question)

I just wasn't quite sure whether women actually talk or think like that in their peer group. (sorry can u elaborate?)

(what does this mean sorry)

Thanks, well my thread title is a question for both genders.

I won't deny that there are masculine women, and feminine men (whatever their sexual orientation), and no problem with that, but broadly speaking there's still a difference to me, and not quite the same as having other men around.
The difference could be apparent at the urinal for example - not sure why, but men are more collective about their bodies, and less shy (maybe I'm wrong).

On the male gender requiring explanation, there's a lot of studies (which could be considered politically incorrect if aimed at human women).
Here's a recent one: www.foxnews.com...
Why does my gender need explanation?

Are we some kind of biological deformity that requires explanation by dint of birth?
Imagine applying such studies to individual race groups.

Currently I'd say my orientation is bisexual.
A bit rusty though in a practical sense (LOL), but I can find people of both genders attractive.

I'm not offended whatsoever, and thanks for the chat.

Just to add though, I find male company very important.
Not in a sexual or romantic sense, but more about a sensibility like camaraderie, loyalty and going through stuff together, and one comes out stronger at the end.
I'm not sure if that's a "born" thing, or how my generation of men were socialized from boyhood.

Well some research questions are more acceptable at various times.
Posing questions on race are a bit taboo at the moment, so why is it OK to question the existence and purpose of the male gender?
I'm not saying we should study this or that, I'm just noticing that the manner in which male bodies and brains are treated borders on historical "racism" or eugenics.

Gender is always confusing.
Human identities, relationships and bodies are very complex.

Wow, for a chit-chat forum thread, we actually ended up in quite a serious discussion.
Great stuff.
