Russian Lamb Born With Human-Like Face

While not actually a cryptid, it isn't difficult to imagine what sort of speculation an animal with this sort of affliction might give rise to (The Chircka Sheep Monster! Half man/half lamb!) Side note: ATS really needs a catchall forum for strange news and mysterious subject matter for stories like this one that don't really fit elsewhere.



Discovery News - Lamb in Russia Born with Human-Like Face

The lamb was born in the village of Chirka and belongs to a 45-year-old farmer named Blasius Lavrentiev. He expressed some dismay at what he assumed were dim prospects for selling the lamb, but the Irish Mirror reported that he was offered a high price -- well above market value -- for it from a circus.

A veterinarian in the village attributed the deformity to an excess of Vitamin A in the mother's diet, the Irish Mirror reported.

If it's deformities are causing it to suffer, the ethical thing to do would be to euthanize the animal.

Wow what a strange looking lamb.
