I think it highlights events as the outbreak is just starting, like a prequel set in LA.

I re read it and it is a prequel but I think they could continue on to present time in the show. It would be interesting if they did that and had a cross over where somehow their group met Rick's group. I doubt if they would but it would be cool.

Lol

Maybe I should change my name to Simon Girty to be a little more Native American friendly.

Indeed, I bought a mini farm very close to Blue Jackets and Girtys old stompin grounds, just closed Friday, wife daughter and I teach herbology, broker the raw materials to supplement companies and of course we will be perma-culturing a significant number of native medicinal and edible species.

Are you talking up in Chillicothe. That's rumored to be were the Shawnee got their silver. There were supposed to be vast quantities in that area my assumption is from a glacier deposit.

Edit; Almost forgot i want to stay on topic. Shawnee zombies with vast silver deposits. Lol

Chillicothe (not the present day town was the 1st capitol, the last capitol was actually Piqua (present day Piqua...horrible place) town, Girty I believe was around Findlay. Im south of both but so southerly as Sincinnati.

Doh I mean Zombie Indian towns!

That's one thing I've never seen on a zombie movie. They never show the reservations. That would be something.

Come to think of it, youre right...as they can be pretty depressing without zombiefication, perhaps they thought better of it. Now if it was a zombie infested reservation casino....NOW we're talking!

Still waiting for The Floating Dead: Zombies Lost in a Space Oper-aaaah!

Im guessing the L.A. series will be zombies, walking, San Andreas, collapse, earthquake, zombies drown, mega cthulu zombie, Kobe Bryant is a daywalker zombie that is immune to rape laws and zombie bites, tinseltown set ablaze during zombie festival by real zombies. I forsee many B list actors getting small parts so they can become a zombie and get blown to bits. Or Entourage meets Zombies, zombie actors trying out for zombie movies, but everyone is a zombie, so there is sexy zombie parties and neverending screenings of zombie movies, played by zombies, trying to remake Schindlers List as best as a zombie can, but then they all awake from zombie dreams and are lost on an island with black smoke and lepers, it gets really metaphysical from here. Yup, Christopher Nolan of zombie cinema.

Oh I agree with you completely about character development. But what I meant with my post is I feel walking dead LACKS character development or the way they do it just doesn't work. for example Glen really changed from the first season literally out of know where.

I have to think that this group has really had some things happen that explain the drastic character changes.

I agree. Terminus would be enough to change anyone. Also, what happened at the prison, finding Carol's daughter in the barn with the other walkers, the stuff with the Governor, or all of that would have an effect.

Zombies in LA?

"Is that a gangbanger or a zombie...I can't tell..."

Also, worst title for a spin-off ever.

Yeah, I'm not jazzed about the title. Even something as simple as say, The Walking Dead: LA Chronicles, would have worked better.

Still, I'm excited to see the outbreak. Always one of the best parts of any zombie movie that goes there.

Yeah, the title sucks. I would really love to see the actual outbreak though. All we see in the original show is what comes after Rick wakes up.

Well that was actual cool for me. When I first found it and new nothing of the walking dead universe. I was exclaiming "What is this?!" through the first episode. as you don't know what happened and experience it like Rick did and basically waking up in this new world. and trying to piece together what happened and what the rules are.

and I truly thought had some magical/mystical ability on how and why his room was the only untouched in the hospital.

They're gonna pimp this thing out until it's the crawling dead. The producers have a timeline for ten series and now they're looking at spin-offs. An extra five seasons leaves me so cold that it's hard to care. What could they do but add more soap-opera, less tension and fewer nasty, zombie slayings?

If they do go for the spin-off, I hope they return to the atmosphere of seasons 1-3. Zombie killings were disgusting, tension was off the scale and the whole world seemed plausible.
