Told you OP.
Christians bleating...like the sheep they are.
Poor us...GTFO.
You expect people who see what Christians are attempting to do in the world to be silent? I will call out any religion when it encroaches into government and attempts to hijack things like marriage.
I will mock it because religion needs mockery.

Wow!!

You lost me here...totally...can you elaborate more in depth please???

Ahh...ok..I had to look it up...GTFO...I was not familiar with those initials. I had to look it up.

This expression is not worthy of an individual capable of disciplined scientific logical thinking ..to substitute logical scientific thinking with such an emotional outburst. Not worthy.

It illustrates the very point I was making in my previous post about the blame game and emotional thinking verses discipline...and indepnendent thought.

But nonetheless..please elaborate on your posting in more depth. All I got out of your post was an emotional outburst around the initials GTFO.

Thanks,

Go please show where anyone has called for genocide....
The religion I hate but not the people.
If religion stayed in churches and homes we wouldn't have any problem but many religious wish to push their view onto others and all the while silently thinking they are better because they go to heaven.
Just look at the ID and creation crowd in the USA attempting to dumb down education and then they lie about it in court.

I was not saying anyone on this thread or on ATS was calling for genocide, NOW

I said what this type of rhetoric, historically leads to, often leads to,

it is not unusual for it to lead directly and causationally to genocide

Your statement is equivalent to saying 40 years ago,
I don't hate all "colored people"
I have colored friends

The constant, unrelenting and deeply emotional, visceral ugly
character attributions toward Christians
does lead directly to hatred of Christians and all things Christians

And the phoney statements, to make yourself look good, well I have some Christian friends,

so I can't be a hater,
or be spewing rhetoric that leads directly to teaching others to hate,
loath, despise Christians to the point that
(history clearly teaches us) leads to genocide..

Just look at the pre-Holocaust rhetoric regarding the Jewish people.

Exactly where is reasoning integral to religion? I must have missed that part.

Wow!!! Deep...not!!

Try Gnostic...Gnosis...the gnostic philosophies and gnostic religions...gnosis for Knowledge.

On the contrary, religion is the performance of ritual on behalf of or in obeyance to a supernatural deity or deities. No deity/deities=no religion.

There may be legitimate complaints about various philosophies and movements but let's not start referring to them as religions when they aren't. No, not even the "worship" of football teams is religion.

Wow again...the first part of this statement is dumber than dirt in lieu of this by G. F. W. Hegel..

"The State is god"

And for those versed in the Word..this is the very lesson from beginning to the end...one manner of men trying to save themselves by knowledge and wisdom of men..men trying by various means to become gods...and the other men are saved by the Will of God. These are the two systems at work..and the source of "The Ever War."

As to the last part..I agree...on this you and I will agree. For this reason I do not watch sports...to much Idol worship to be found there.

I never have to watch a football game or sports extravaganza...I can learn all about them by the number of men who worship said sports coming to work daily. It is a never ending stream of my team and my players verses your players. Even car racing does not interest me though I am aware that certain of these technologies find their way into our street automobiles. I just don't worship auto racing...nor those idols/gods.

Now to my surprise.. when first I learned of it..what is going on out in the parking lots looks more interesting than the race or game. Tailgating!!

Now that looks positively great the cooking going on out there. But the race or touchdowns..et al...not interested.

Thanks,
Orangetom

How many people have Christians persecuted? and continue to do so?.
Why do many Christians attempt to deny the right of marriage between gay folk?.
Sorry you have a lot of gall to say those things about me when the Bible condones so much which is wrong.
Oh and no genocide needed people are waking up and leaving your club in droves.
Anyhow good day.

Never said you were racist
your statements prove you are an anti-Christian bigot
to the point of spewing broad generalizations
about Christians that are so ugly and so perverse
as to engender
hatred, loathing of all Christians
and could possibly if your type of rhetoric spreads
as it is doing in society in general and on ATS
well, it could lead to a call for genocide, yes

I am a Christian, obviously,
and I believe in live and let live,
I do not fall under your twisted and perverse view of Christians,
if someone doesn't believe as I do, that is their choice, live and let live
if someone is gay, that is their choice, live and let live (which probably rocks your bias to the core)
AND
if you really want me to upset you and turn your vile bigotry upside down-
I think abortion up until a baby can live on its own outside the womb (about 24 weeks), well
up until then abortion is a MYOB situation (mind your own business)

I just don't want someone like you trying to force me
through
ridicule and ugly hatred
to change my beliefs.
Which you are doing by classifying and generalizing
your ugly thoughts about Christians on me and on all Christians.

This rhetoric has led to genocide in the past,
so just be aware of what words like yours can do.

Oh ok, then you are a bigot toward all people of faith.

Well, keep spewing the bigotry, hatred, vile ridicule and maybe you can get enough people to think as you do, to have a pogrom against people of faith.

What you are spewing is that you want everyone to abandon their faith
and think as you do
Isn't that just an heinous as what you claim people of faith are doing?

You may say, I don't want them to give up their faith, I just want them to leave me alone.
Fine, I just want bigoted anti-faith haters to leave people of faith alone,
it goes both ways.

You can't crusade against all people of faith and call them vile and ugly things

though wildly overstated and frequently inaccurate and distorted evil accusations

and then try an pretend you are a good person who wants to be left alone by people of faith.

You are actually provoking through your rhetoric the very evil
(attempting others to think as you do)
you claim to want to stamp out.

Again it isn't the people I mock it is the religion.
God doesn't come from any book or any church and those who attempt to tell you about their version of God is a liar.
People don't need religion to have faith.

BS. There are many ways to get married.....

You mock, because you like to insult and mock others peoples beliefs.

Peace

Keep trying to convince yourself of that.

When you mock "Christians"
and you are referring to the Christian religion (or any religion)
you ARE by default mocking the people

You could say this or that religion, but when you call them "Christians", "Jews", "Muslims"
that is referring directly
quite directly
to the people
and becomes ugly bigotry at its worst
with you doing exactly what you accuse "them" of doing
but you are blind to it.

Just go back and replace the word "atheist" or whatever you call yourself or identify yourself as
in the hate filled statements you have made in this thread,
and you will see how the statements apply to the people in general.

If you want to criticize the religion, say so, but the shortcut of "Christians"
is using the word "Christians" in exactly the same way as
the "n" word is used toward a group of people.
And you end up being perceived as spreading hatred and
loathing of an entire group of people,
which has led directly in the past to genocide.

Again, consider the rhetoric used about the Jewish people before the Holocaust,
read up on it,
because your rhetoric regarding people of faith
is disturbingly similar.

It may appear I mock only the Christian Religion because I'm talking mostly to Christians.
Show me a Jewish thread, I know a few Muslims but they don't actually attempt to frighten me into believing.
I have been threatened with Hell by some and you think I will take that BS lying down...nope.
