Good bye my baby. Go to the rainbow bridge and have fun. I'll see you again in time. Play ball till I get there.

So sorry to hear. Losing a pet hurts in a way like nothing else does. That unconditional love is like nothing else.

You are right - other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

I am so sorry you have lost a beloved pet. I lost my last kitty about a year ago and have lost many before her. It is always gut wrenching!

So sorry you lost Miss Betty. She looked to be a real sweetheart. I've lost many pets in my 56 years, and "pets" doesn't begin to describe the relationship a person has with an animal of a different species. It cuts to the heart of you, but I can tell you, it will get better, and you will eventually look back upon her fondly and without nearly as much pain.

People who care about you will encourage you to get another dog; try not to be mad at them -- they're just trying to ease your pain in the only way they can conceive. Perhaps the muses of nature/God/insert deity will bring another sweetheart to you in time, when you are ready.

In the meantime, be kind to yourself and know that you gave her a full life that she wouldn't have known without you.

peace

She'll have good company when she gets to doggy heaven. I had to bury my buddy Baxter a few days ago.
Sorry about your loss.

Am sure she had a great life, and is ever thankful for it. Take all the time you need to grieve. Always remember she is their with you. For a time you may feel her near you, on your pillow or bed or just besides you, comforting you in the time after passing. Regards.

The thread of life is so fragile, and the bond of
love unbreakable. How could this one not get
into Doggie Heaven? She's got a skeleton key...

All the good things will go with you both.

Thank you all for your heart felt words. It is comforting to know that others know what this pain is like, and aren't about to chalk it up to being 'just a dog'. I always feel so bad when someone loses their friend. With Betty I couldn't even cry,it was such a shock. She was only 8 years old and seizured to death. I was trying everything I knew to help her and nothing worked. The vets didn't even get to put her down. She died as soon as she got there. I'm so lost now,but I know it will get better in time. Thanks again.

He loved playing with small dogs. He would just roll on his back and let them jump all over him.
