Sure...and we didn't watch with glee after 911 as we saw what we thought was vengeance with bombs exploding targets in the Middle East? We're no better. Glass houses and all of that.

I don't blame the Palestinians for everything, but time and time again, they've been so close to getting their own state, then they say not without Jerusalem. Guess what idiots? (Palestinians)...that will NEVER happen, so yes, I blame the Palestinians for standing in the way of their own statehood. What I don't get is this...... They (the Palestinians) KNOW that for every 1 Israeli that dies in a rocket attack, at least 30 Palestinians will die in retaliatory strikes, so why the hell do they persist in this self-destructive behavior? It's fairly obvious that Israel pretty much doesn't give a damn what the world thinks when they are attacked (even if their own actions precipitated the attack), so I'm just curious what the Palestinians are trying to accomplish when they keep killing themselves.

In a way, that's kind of true. I know when I lived in Saudi, most citizens really had no concern for the Palestinians, and didn't even really view them as fellow Arabs, at least not in the same way as they view other neighboring Arabs. I'm not exactly sure why, but the perception was certainly that way.

Just thought I would point out for clarity, incase it hasn't already been - I looked up the source and noticed that these are residents of Sderot. For those that don't know, Sderot is right next to Gaza - less than 1km. Even when things are quiet in the rest of Israel, Sderot has been continually hit with mortar and rocket fire for many many years. They have virtually no warning time to react to incoming attacks because they are so close.

While I personally wouldn't be out there cheering on the destruction (But then again, I haven't experience the same level of attacks they have either...), I can totally understand why they are... For a very long time, the Israeli government wasn't responding to the attacks on Sderot and the residents were getting fed up with it.

News update for those interested. It's almost 2am here and I'm up working the night shift - Seems likely the IDF will enter Gaza on the ground soon. They sent out a warning to Gaza City residents to evacuate by 8am...

If the people of the US experienced half the missiles Israel has, they would go in with their own guns and clear out Hamas themselves if the military didn't... See how that works both ways? No doubt the Palestinians are in a bad spot - but the bulk of the blame lies with their leadership. And yes, Israel has done things wrong too, I don't deny that. But Hamas needs to be dealt with, and harshly.
