S&F. I think our governors can do a lot particularly when they get together and present a united front against the appalling federal environmental record. Anthropogenic caused warming should be handled state by state. Bring it on home and ask not only corporations but each individual to contribute something to this cause.

Global warming landing on your doorstep via apocalyptic weather is a wake-up call. Time to look around and gain some understanding of what the very near future of our unchecked pollution will bring.

Each of us, as part of this great nation, has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That's not possible when the air, water and soil are foul. Instead of pulling our native Americans into the money game with casinos etc., let's go to them and ask them for guidance in living harmoniously with the land. Let's make up for the mistake of denying them U.N. status and let's utilize their wisdom in order to get off this runaway train.

If AGW is man made, then doing this will head us in the right direction. If AGW is caused by nature, then cleaning up the environment will still help all of us have a nicer place to live.

Exactly. And cleaning up our planet's environment just might help get rid of all those nasty prion diseases. 'Cuz gawdknows they're incurable, untreatable and in this environment, unpreventable.

I mean, it's all about taking/taxing more, isn't it?

Perhaps we could take a bit of that federal money that keeps being promised to all the other countries.

Or create a non profit and ask for donations and offer tax breaks. That way, the 1% could find ways to keep more of their money, while helping out with a worthy cause. (I hear that kind of stuff goes on)
