Call it socialism or communism either way you gotta realize that by not having better social programs we enabling this rediculous notion that by amassing wealth for yourself is somehow good for anyone.

This greedy selfish paradigm of infinite growth needs to stop and we address the issue by addressing our culture.

The United States today and China in the time of the Cultural Revolution are vastly different places with significantly different problems. Cancel the debt, put a wall around the US and Canada, and we're pretty much self-sufficient.

Foreign Aid whether military or what's supposed to be used for food... all of it supports the subject of the previous discussion... the ultra wealthy.

You don't really believe that do you? Do you fully appreciate the import and export businesses of this country? We heavily rely on both.

Our youth better take up engineering and learn how to build and repair these machines.

Singularity is inevitable.

Why would they want to be creative and make an opportunity for them selves when the safety net will catch you.

People feel now days, if you take our jobs the government is there to take care of you.

Too many handouts too much reliance.

If you don't want your job done by a robot, stop using automated services. Do not use an ATM, go into the bank and stand in line for a teller. Do not scan your own groceries at the check out, stand in line for a human to check you out. . Refuse to talk to automated services on the phone, keep pressing 0 until you can talk to a human. They are programing us to use automated services..fight the system!

And look at the horses nowadays. Taking advantage of welfare and stealing my tax money.

Robots have no creativity without artificial intelligence. A robot can copy things, but it wont be original.

People have to be creative.

But I also think that people need to remember their roots and the basics. Tech fails and if it does catastrophically, if you are not prepared, you’re screwed.

If humanity does manage to survive tech, then we are living in a “Star Trek” universe. That would be weird, would it?
