I'd leave it for now dolluka, until he airs his own thoughts and won't happen until he remembers to take his password home with him.

But he loved your Templar

Sorry I am so slow...here is one idea but I have 2 or 3 more...I will
not be able to upload those until tomorrow. I had them last night but
due to me not being familiar with anything it takes a while.
These are ONLY ideas so messy cut outs & nothing permanent
by any means.

OK I am naked cause these are my 1st beyond just sizing.

Anything I post is just an idea & anyone is welcome to add to it or trash it.
No hard feelings, even though it is taking me forever, it is good practice &
I am so ever grateful!

Cheers
Ektar

Ektar my friend

The fun is in the ideas, the chance to create, stop putting yourself down mate

I'm a million miles away from some of the guys on this thread, I just enjoy the camaraderie, the chance to give back to the community and the learning curve I'm on.

Sure I've got a lot to learn, but I can't think of a better place to be to learn it

Ok here's idea #2...however I don't know why the background is white. It did
have the transparent checkers in the background when I saved it.

I also wanted to add the Triumph (small) on the right coming at you...

Here's #3 sorry I didn't add the Tombstones nor
remove the farm fencing as these are only ideas.
I should have finished the iron fence & turned a panel
going away....
I need to get on the Valentine wagon or I'll
never finish one...LOL!

I really, really like this.

when saving, never save as jpg. it is a very inferior file format. stick with .png or .gif (.png is the best available to you)

Cody & BFFT Thank you! I will note that for the future.
I'm not sure which Idea you guys liked...as you can see neither are finished.
The tombstones were to be added behind the iron fencing, & I didn't
finish the fencing, plus I wanted to include his Triumph on the right side
coming at you with his silhouette riding. But since these were ideas I guess
I thought nothing had to be perfect or finished as I thought maybe others
may get an idea based on what I submitted or add & subtract from them.

This was GREAT practice for me because I can't watch a tutorial & participate
at the same time. I only have 1 bloody computer & I am not even computer savvy...
I don't even know how to type...LOL!

I am thankful for everyone's help...you will not hurt me feelings...I'm good
with constructive criticism as it only helps me benefit. Maybe these exercises
I posted will help me with the Valentine Contest.

Cheers

The tombstone fencing could be employed to give it a "banner" type of feel. Maybe a wrap around on the area just above the elbow. I think that, along with the bright orange setting sun, are superb.

Dollukka's knight & everything rocks!

I agree with her on the fact that it is nice to have a tat you can
add to. I was a professional drummer 1st half of me life & I have a tat on my
left shoulder of the "Cat in the Hat" opened lips smile, with drum sticks & one arm up
as if going to hit a crash cymbal. The lower part of him stops below the bow tie.

Tattoo artist said "I did this so you could add, like a motorcycle coming towards
you with a snare drum on top resting on the handle bars & add in the crash cymbal."

So that is my 1st & only tattoo due to funds. I have had it since ~ 1992. It needs to be
recolored...but I still love it & I think that is important. It's been recolored once & I
can do it again, after that it may cause scar tissue build up.

I think the New Ink that glows & the ones that are invisible until presented in a black light
are bloody awesome! I personally wouldn't do it yet because it is still to new & needs perfecting.
I would have never known about these new techniques had we not had your assignment Cody!

Cheers
Ektar

Wow I can't believe you actually took a look, thanks!
When I got my tattoo I thought long & hard before making the decision.
Also I never saw him smile with his lips parted...so I took the book with
me & stated that I wanted him to have a more natural grin.

I love that they swab you with deodorant & place a lithograph of the
artwork right where it is going to be. So you get to actually fine tune everything
before the ink flows. Another good point is they just follow the perfect lithograph
so unless they really suck at tracing it should be perfect.

I would think that free hand stylist would do the same just to make sure everything
will line up & rock!

Believe it or not I played at one of the largest tattoo conventions in the world & didn't
bloody know it. It was in Anaheim CA 1985...at least Brian Seltzar heard me unexpected drum
solo as when he showed up the band set me up & left the bloody stage!

I wasn't into the tats at the time...damn I would have loved now to go through
the convention & see all the fabulous art work from the best on the planet.

Dollukka you always amaze me with your work...even with the tats you throw up
the right pictures & the right (sorry I may not express right) medium or however it
is suppose to actually look...I hope that made some sense.

Cheers
Ektar

the only thing possible that would not take away from how good that is would be a cape, broached with a golden/brass broach of some sort. That way you have a chance to add a highlight color into it, you don't cover the really well done armor, and you create a starting point in the lower 1/3 of the image for the eyes to work out from.

I love the color palette you used.

I do read all you post here and look if i don´t recognise something ( its called being nosy.. i have that kind of nose
) i just sometimes have my hands full or am in comatized mood with tireness as my kid who is type 1 diabetic sometimes keeps me up at nights.
I do appreaciate art in all forms even bodypaints i just feel sad they have to wash those out.. so much time and its gone like puff. Never tried it myself tho, hubby usually is volunteered when i need but i doubt he would like to have bodypainted and he is too hairy for that too lol ( he plays drums too.. as a hobby )
Glad you like my stuff
