What can be done to bring these people into line? When does "free speech" = freedom to offend, or be ignornat and hateful?

Sorry, freedom of speech means freedom to BE ignorant, offensive, and hateful, amongst the positive aspects of freedom of speech.


Our world has lost it's thick skin. Everyone wants to whine and cry "why me"..."why am I the victim"?


We have to tolerate this. Words are mere vibrations created as air passes over our vocal chords. Nothing more, nothing less. YOU have the power to imbue them with power, or to make them powerless against you.

If social media bothers you THAT much, you AS AN ADULT must make the choice to turn it off in your life.


You want freedoms? There are responsibilities with those freedoms. And you have to buck up.

So, two tweets you found and now you have to alter the current rules on free speech? No matter what you do, there will always be a few people who are stupid, don't let it ruinyour day. Unless you can tally up the number of different people making racist comments, then I think you are being an alarmist, if not an agitator/provocateur.

Getting people riled up over a few tweets that are not even racist. What if it was a black person saying "when is a black woman going to win in this racist country"? You'd be her personal loudspeaker across the internet!

Look, all I'm saying is you need to be careful when messing with freedom of speech. It is way to easy to make something out to be racist when it isn't. I could call you racist for getting upset at these comments that aren't really racist, but I'd rather assume you misunderstood or have been influenced by some of the racist hype going around.

Need to create a global or nationwide moratorium?? Racism is going away all by itself. It's just too easy to manipulate a group of people into thinking they are surrounded by the enemy... It's too bad, because I, and nearly every white person I know would love to join every person of every ethnic background in dealing with the real enemy of us all. The ultra rich see us ALL as slaves, white included, don't you know that? Read about the Irish slaves in America. Whether you realise it or not, we are in this together. And we will fall together and die together if we can't work together, the way "they" are.

I hope you understand me. I hate racism. Which is why I hate the fact that people keep bringing it up. So there are racist people in the world. Of All colors. So what? What good does bringing it up do? Do you think you can force someone to like you? All you can do is prove them wrong.Or ignore them, like most of society will do because we don't like to associate with racists.

Even in MLKs day, he never wanted to take away free speech. I'm pretty sure he would be very against that. That can be used against you, too, you know? You wanna put some rediculous law on the book? Well you and your friends and family will be subject to it too, and if someone doesnt like you, its not hard to twist somethibg into racism...

So, I guess you disagree with MLK? I think he knew that there would always be a holes in the world. All he wanted was equality in the law and access to healthcare and education and whatnot. And no segregation. That has all been granted. He knew that, with that kind of guaranteed equality, his people could thrive, and many have! It's getting better and better. Not worse and worse. There are more wealthy and powerful blacks and other races than ever before.

Logic would dictate that, keeping this course will mean there will be even more in the future! I don't see any real opposition to it, do you? Where's all those racists you were worried about? Why aren't they executing all non white politicians? Why aren't they at least rallying in the streets like occupy? Where's the KKK? Why aren't they at least burning crosses in front lawns to protest all this equality?

But you wanna change the constitution as if we were in a state of emergency over this issue, over a few internet dummies? That kind of change will just give the government free reign to imprison whoever they want. You think its easy for them to plant child porn on someones computer? How about some racist material. Half the time they will be able to take something the person already said or wrote and twist it into racism.

By the way, what do you think should be the punishment for these two people, if we were to have a law like that? What exactly would the law be? Because...I don't think either person said the "n word", so, what words would be disallowed and how would these two girls be breaking that law?

I'm sorry, I don't know if you believe that they deserve to be punished, I was just wondering, because they were the only comments in the op, and your response to that was to want to alter the free speech articles of the constitution, so, I kinda took the liberty of putting two and two together, hope ya don't mind...

Given the culture "world" that they are trying to feed the masses, it isn't hard today to have what Carl Jung called "a working theological framework by which to enter the fray with one's entire being" relative to all that is ignorant and absurd and that simply isn't worthy of the 21st century human being, not now, not tomorrow, next week, a month from now, a year, ten years, twenty, fifty or even from the POV of the year 2100 looking back in hindsight. I tell you "in all truth" (said like Jesus) that it's all nothing but the future comedic material of a new age of spirit informed reason, and from that overarching historical POV (passover?) my God is it ever FUNNY and ridiculous! My only fear is that the American people won't be given to really GET the joke at the PTB's expense until it's too late - which is why I'm considering very seriously a career in standup comedy to try to do what I can to remedy the situation here as we stand at the very cusp of a new age.

So here's the final form of a joke I've written re: American racism.



I'm an American, and I'm not racist and neither are any of my friends or my extended family. To prove it, I can tell you honestly that the best man at my own wedding was black and if anyone present so much as whispered the N word, everyone else would have had his back, and he was the only black guy there.


His name was Leroy and we even offered fried chicken on the buffet and no one said anything or gave him so much as a second glance when he helped himself to seconds.


I say "was" only because for reasons that I cannot really fathom for the life of me, we didn't see too much of good 'ol Leroy after that. In fact, now that I come to think about it, the last time I saw him face to face was the very day of the wedding...

Would it help if I told you that this subject was moved from the Breaking Alternative News forum and has been reported around the world?

The winner should probably be based on how well she represents the average American woman

Well let's look at some statistics for the average American (US) woman shall we... According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), the average American woman is 5'3" and 166 lbs. Using the NIH's (National Intitutes of Health) standard BMI (Body Mass Index) calculator, that gives the average American woman a BMI score of 29.4, which is considered overweight.

Also according to the CIA World Factbook, the median age of American women is 38.5 years (2013 est.) and 79.96% of the American population is white.

So, a white, 5'3", 166 lb, 38 year old woman would be most representative of the average American woman. And while there is certainly nothing wrong (in my humble opinion) with women fitting that description, I'm proud of America's diversity, as I'm sure many of us are. Definitely makes for more interesting beauty pageants...lol!
