US Radiation spikes, is the source Fuk??

www.naturalnews.com...#

"Beta radiation levels are off the charts at monitoring sites all across North America, according to new reports. But experts are blaming these radiation spikes on practically everything except for Fukushima.

Data gathered from tracking units in California, Arizona, Illinois and elsewhere reveal radiation levels up to 50,000 percent higher than what was observed at the same time last year, and in some cases compared to levels seen this past summer....

Matador, here is a new website from fukuleaks that shows the radnet data in an easy to use form. And you were right. Major spikes have been occurring. Check out Phoenix around the time you posted your comments. They spiked to 730 CPM. Thats over 7 times the level they consider dangerous and were people should be wearing protective suits. Yikes.

BUT THATS NOTHING. Compare it to Bakersfield, where the spikes shoot off the charts surpassing 1000 CPM.

BUT THATS STILL NOTHING. Cause when you go down to St. Louis we see something that either has to be a mistake, or somewhere around Nov 20 to 30 we experienced a major pollution event. Their readings are in the astronomical range of 8,000 CPM!!!!!

WTF!

And we werent warned. Nobody.

Its time to storm the castle walls.

Sakurajima is now showing signs of getting ready to blow its top big time. The Sendai nuke plant that they are getting ready to restart is located about 50 kms (31 miles) from Mount Sakurajima, and the JMA is saying there could now be a major eruption, not just small ones as has been happening.

Just one of the many reasons not to start Sendai up.

From the Diary;

fukushima-diary.com...

“On 1/6/2015, Kagoshima local meteorological observatory announced Sakurajima is having the inflation of the volcanic edifice.
According to the local meteorological observatory, the crater is stuck with volcanic ash. Clinometers and extensometers have been showing the inflation since 1/1/2015, which implies that magma and volcanic gas are accumulated inside.
They state there is a possibility that Sakurajima causes large volcanic cinders and pyroclastic flow.
Sakurajima has erupted for 43 times from 1/1 to 1/5/2015.”

…crickets…

Hello! A new year and an old can of worms!

Pop Quiz: 'radiation detectors' detect 'radiation' within:
a. 100 miles
b. 50 miles
c. 25 miles
d. 1 mile
e. 100 yards
f. 6 feet
g. a scant few inches

And the two-point toss-up: How many of these critical instruments are there in the United States?

This information may very well change Your perspective on the EPA/RadNet scam/debacle/fiasco/subterfuge.

Those Dear Readers who have stayed Un-tunaed and tuned in for the last 1,400 days know what we be speaking of.

Yup, it's in THE epic Part One … a teaser follows...

(THE COMPANY) provides quality environmental technical support services to: the Department of Energy (DOE) and its National Laboratories; US Army Corps of Engineers; Bureau of Indian Affairs; National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and other government and commercial entities across the nation

- a woman-owned, small disadvantaged business with over 20 years of experience and a proven track record for delivering superior project management and other related technical support services

- has provided maintenance for EPA’s RadNet monitoring systems under a sole-source contract …

- the base amount of the contract is $238,000.00. This does not include materials and travel, which is billed back to the government as needed.

Is the die off of birds, which is occurring in the same areas as those experiencing a die off of star fish and other aquatic species, related to these other die offs. This is not even close to normal. What is happening up and down the coast is off the charts. It seems like as each new day begins, a new species is floating ashore dead.

The die off now extends up through Vancouver Island and is showing no signs of slowing down. And scientists are beginning to consider other reasons than a food shortage as birds that rely on the same food as the cassins are not affected.

What is going on. The only real constant is that all of this started three years ago, after Fukushima blew.

Still dont have the geiger counter available. As soon as my partner returns Im doing an extensive search up and down my coastal area.

From www.pressdemocrat.com...

Scientists up and down the West Coast are monitoring what appears to be a large-scale die-off of young Cassin’s auklets, small seabirds whose breeding grounds include a colony in the Farallon Islands west of San Francisco.
Emaciated, white-bellied birds have been washing ashore in Sonoma County and along a broad swath of California coastline since early November after a period of ocean warming in the Farallones region and disappearance of the tiny krill that provide their main source of food, researchers say.

Scientists are still collecting data, but the largest concentration of dead birds appears to be in northern Oregon, according to monitors in the Pacific Northwest. Birds have been washing up in Washington, as well.

7 More Japanese Nuclear Reactors May Close Permanently

January 12th, 2015

A total of 7 reactors are being considered for decommissioning in Japan. Each unit is at or nearing the 40 year operational limit and would be required to pass additional safety screenings in order to continue operation. This is on top of meeting the new standards enacted after the Fukushima disaster.

The main reason for considering shutting down these plants is costs. One plant was going to need over $800 million in upgrades with no promise this would get the plant past the needed inspections. Meanwhile in the US the current cost of electricity is forcing some of their aging nuclear plants to require double the going rates for power just to turn a profit. This is before any of those US plants have been hit with safety upgrades or major repairs.

The plants in Japan that may close are:
Genkai unit 1
Mihama unit 1 and 2
Shimane unit 1
Tsuruga unit 1
Takahama unit 1 and 2

Folks, there should be no doubt that fission is occurring. This dramatic rise in cesium 134 and strontium 90 isn't supposed to be happening at this point. The following is from the Fukushima Dairy. God bless Iori for staying on top of things.

--------------------------------------

fukushima-diary.com...

Radioactive contamination level jumped over 57 times outside of underground wall

Cs-134/137 and all β nuclides (including Sr-90) density showed the rapid increase in groundwater, according to Tepco. The sample was taken in the seaside of Reactor 2. Sampling date was 1/12/2015.

Compared to the previous measurement of 1/8/2015, Cs-134/137 density rose up by 57 times, all β nuclides density also rose up by 57 times.

This is the highest reading measured from this boring.

Tepco hasn’t identified the reason. This boring is located outside of the underground wall to stop contaminated groundwater flowing to the sea.

Theoretically, it is natural to assume the high level of contamination is flowing to the sea without anything to stop.

This still puzzles me. This whole malaise concerning Fukushima and radiation is really troublesome. I know that the radnet network isnt the best thing going, but checking www.enviroreporter.com... one sees that Bakersfield is still off the hook with beta readings over 1000 CPM. Yet their gamma readings are more in line with the rest of the state, and no place else in the state is running over 300 CPM beta (though most arent recording beta anymore only gamma).

First, if beta is off the charts for Bakersfield, but gamma is the same as other places, why is that?

Second, why do many places no longer record beta?

Third, shouldn't the EPA be warning people of Bakersfield that they are getting nuked?

One of the reasons that I decided to get involved in Fukushima again was because the situation is getting worse not better (as I expected in 2011). But it's getting a lot worse in leaps and bounds and that I didn't expect. Yet the governments silence, both Japan and the US is so deafening that Im beginning to feel like I did in 2012, hopeless.

Concerning Bakersfield, could fracking be part of the problem as they bring up a lot of radiation from deep underground or is it all nuke plant emissions mainly Fuku? Just a thought.

A Japanese laborer in his 50s died Tuesday while inspecting a water storage tank at the defunct Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, the site of a March 2011 nuclear meltdown following a catastrophic tsunami.

The man, an employee of one of Japan’s largest construction firms, Hazama Ando Co., died at a hospital in Tokyo after plunging into the 33 ft.-deep tank. Tokyo Electric Power Co., the plant operator, was already under fire from labor inspectors for a recent uptick in accidents. This is the plant’s second death in under a year, reports Reuters.

“We promise to implement measures to ensure that such tragedy does not occur again,” said plant manager Akira Ono in a statement to the media.

The Japanese government has announced that the tritium contaminated water in that tank, and the thousands of others like it, will soon be released into the Pacific Ocean.

They claim that the water has been detoxified down to "acceptable levels".

Qmantoo has asked me to post this as China is still banning Google. He's still working hard putting data together so the truth about Fukushima isnt lost for future reference. Good on you Q.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, I have updated the list of thumbnails of Tepco library images released so that we can see them all on one page. However, remember that it will only display the first 50 images unless you come from ATS to my site. So.... you have to go to the old thread and back to my website in order to see them all but if anyone needs to look for an image for their research or one of the zip files of Tepco movies, it is not such a problem for them to do that.

Instructions for use. (No advertisements on these pages.)
Go here
2 posts up from the bottom of the page. Use any of these links to get to my website
then use any of the links at the top of that page to go to the Index page
and it is the 6th link down marked (updated 22 Jan 2015). That should give you thumbnails by date of all of the images from March 2011 posted by Tepco.
They all open in a new browser tab and link directly to Tepco images/zips.

Let me know if you find any omissions please and I will investigate.
Thanks
Qmantoo

Of course what they don't say as freely is that the only radionuclides they are taking out of the water is cesium. Im pretty sure thats right.

Thats akin to taking a car with no tail lights and no brakes, fixing the tail lights and saying the car is now good to go.

Those TEPCOites are so funny. Wish they'd bathe in the stuff instead of killing the oceans.

This report was just posted on ENE. Very interesting. According to these physicists once the corium hits water it should cool, solidify and then re-melt. If this is happening I think it would explain the rise of fission products but I don't know exactly what would occur with a re-melt.

"Core quench:
The molten debris falls into the reactor cavity. This produces boiling off of whatever water is there. If sufficient water is
present, the core would be cooled and solidify, and would subsequently re-melt."

Thanks TFW.

I would like to know what they mean by a remelt, and does that keep occurring. A soon as the corium reaches water, if it doesn't cause a significant explosion, then wouldnt the water work as it does in a reactor to slow down neutrons and speed up fission.

As an aside a recent article in SimplyInfo talks about Obama's latest pro nuke deal with India where liability is erased for the companies making the reactors, which means Japan since both GE and Westinghouse are Japanese companies now. It is probably a main reason we have run into so much obfuscation over Fuku. Japan wants to sell the world reactors. Brilliant.

And does anyone else have the problem with stars not working. I star people and come back later and they are removed. Dont get it.

And this from ENE is a head scratcher. They are going to go in with the muon technique to locate the corium, and then remove it, but they can't locate it if it has fallen to the base of the container or lower, which Im assuming is where it is. And what remains above the base cant be removed can it? How the hell are they going to pull that stuff out. It all sounds to me like buying more time to keep up the image that a nuclear meltdown can be remedied by humans. And stupid humans at that.

enenews.com... rst-kind-video

(They) "intend to extract the melted fuel after surrounding it with water… the plant operator will need to repair damaged sections of the containers to prevent water leaks… However… nuclear fuel at the base of the container cannot be seen using the muon technique…"
