2nd degree only possible for Conner -- murder of an unborn child is not eligible for 1st degree status.

I am actually surprised. I personally felt he did it, but I thought after the boat expirement, they would let him off.

Glad they got it right, or at least right the way I see it

Oh, geeze... Guess no news channels for me today. Anybody else sick and tired of hearing about the Peterson trial? Well, maybe after they spend the day analyzing the trial we won't hear about it anymore... or at least as much.
Trials of murders going on all over the country, save it for Court T.V. IMO.

I admit I didnt follow the trail very much But I didnt see ANY proof.

JUSTICE IS SERVED...

It happens so rarely nowadays, that it's good to see it now and then...

It's called circunstancial evidence and that is how the OJ trial was also. But I guess OJ had more money to get out of it.

I didnt see anything CLOSE to proving he did it. All they proved to me was he was a lying dog. I will admit to not following it very close, but I would hate to think I was convicted on that little of evidence

I know ATS discourages one word posts but, all I can think of is...

This is a great cause for celebration, and now we get to speculate on the penalty.

Life in prison, or death?

My guess is death.

Amuk, like you I didn't follow it closely either. I tried like hell not to follow it. But it was repeatedly shoved in our faces. I also didn't see any real evidence, other then the circumstational evidence to prove he did it. But I always did have the nagging feeling he did it.

So now we go to the penalty phase, then the appeal phase, then the second appeal. Meanwhile Mark Hacking sits quietly in his jail cell and nobody wants to cover his story, cause the guy up and admitted he did it.

I think Death would be too good for this scumbag. I hope they put him in the worst Fed-Pen they can find so some other lifers can get real "friendly" with him. Let him dwindle away in misery for the rest of his shallow and useless life.

He is a pathetic, evil person and deserves everything that coming towards him.

Me too.

But I dont think we should send people to prision over "nagging feelings"

I just hope they showed SOMETHING to the jury that I didnt see.

My prediction: he'll walk. All this brouhaha with the jury *can't* be good for the prosecution.

Sometimes it's nice to be wrong. I personally think he's guilty as sin, but haven't followed the trial enough to know whether or not the evidence was really there.

I think the tidal evidence was enough to convict him just based on how stupid he was to research that on his computer.

I mean mapping out where he was going to dump his wife's body, I guess Scott has a little problem with maps, considering if he would have read it right it should have shown him the possibilty that instead of taking the body out to sea that it would bring it back into the bay...

Maybe Scott did not know how to tell where north is on the map ???

He will not have to worry about that now, considering he will be very limited in his ability to "roam" around.

Good bye Scott its been a long time and I will be glad that the news will be moving on to some other national crisis.

You're right...too bad we have to wait for the penalty, but after that...

IT'S A VICTORY FOR AMERICA!!

We no longer have to listen to this garbage (until the next trial they latch on to).

What's Fox News gonna talk about between their praise of Bush, and their shouts of "Terror, terror, terror!"

More high speed chases?
