I was watching on CNN and the second after the speech was over, Wolf Blitzer flat out said....well, its pretty clear now the US isn't backing down no matter what, even though they're going at it by themselves.

ETA - CNN is also saying Obama thinks this is a direct threat to the security of the US....

So, where is the evidence

Sounded like an experienced salesman trying to sell something to someone he knew wouldn't buy it, but then he never tried to close the deal.

From what I gathered he's basically just saying, "Hold onto your seats. Keep your hands inside the vehicle at all times. Stuff's about to get Real , but only 'limited' real. (?)

However, the future contains unknowns, and 'limited' isn't guaranteed, in the end this could all blow up into a region-wide conflagration .... and, given the nature of the countries involved, most likely will, IMHO. (?)

I guess all we can hope for now is that Syria Russia and Iran don't have the same foolish pride and don't follow thru with their threats.

Yep .. didn't see any evidence of that.
All we got was subjected to heart wrenching videos of dead children.
Still dont' see why the USA needs to deal with this ....

What I got is that they somehow *KNOW* beyond a reasonable doubt that Assad gassed the people, we KNOW that children were killed, and we know that WE HAVE TO ATTACK..

UN can't say who did it.

Russians are obstructionists.

Iran Hezbollah and N Korea are evil.

We have more info but can't tell you it's classified.

Save the children.

Weapons of mass destruction.

FOX NEWS talking head ref: Kerry speech - 'melodrama is not a substitute for strategy'. Talking had said Kerry's speech was full of hypocrisy. Kerry was against going up against Saddam who killed millions of people and used chemical weapons against the Kurds ... but now says the USA needs to go to war against Syria because 1,500 people died in a civil war there.
