The pork cartel couldn't get a word in edge-wise! Bacon consumption is up HUGELY in the US, after years of languishing, and no one really knows why. Some suspect that it is because, while a few big meat packers control the rest of the market, bacon is still often locally produced and consumed, and so has a free market or "Local food" appeal.

Others have suggested that it's retaliation against Mayor Doomberg and the Center for Science in the Pubic Interest.

I like a bacon sandwich with sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and thousand Island dressing---in other words, a "reuben" but with meat for the Goy palette...

Maybe that's it; maybe non-Semites are asserting their gastronomic identity....one bite at a time.

Oh, one more thing. The perfect bacon sandwich comes wrapped in 100-dollar bills!

Take 3 pieces of bacon and place them between a couple slices of bacon, then smother that in rich, juicy bacon...

That is the PERFECT Bacon sandwich!

Thank you!
I could stomach that, since I wouldn't have to eat the guts.

It's on my bucket list.

I just want to point out that if you bake your bacon it comes out perfect for sandwiches. Thin strips, drained of unnecesary oil, perfect for anything really.

Hickory smoked, centre cut, btw.

I recently tried cooking my bacon in the deep fryer.
It cooks nicely, there's no mess...

But it doesn't come out flat, so it is less suitable for sandwiches.

Make sure it's the last one on the actual list
It may well be the last one unintentionally

In Israel we used to cook the bacon as a joint, smoke it and slice it for re-frying later mmmmmmmmm

Yes you did read that correctly Israel

Hmmm perfect bacon sandwich.

Crispy bacon, usually hickory smoked on toasted rye with lettuce and tomato. I also add a little Grey Poupon. So basically it's a BLT!

Oh now I wish I had bacon.....adding to the list for shopping later!

Actually, "Reproduction Participant" might be the best job in the world.

Manager just means you handle the paperwork afterwards.

Ummmmmmmmmmm

Trust me on this one beez

'Milking' a boar is a delicate business left to the manager on Lahav, as is the quality control of the sperm and the cross referencing of sow's and boars. All are pretty important stuff.

Besides I always like to be hands on at work

For me, perfect is:

- applewood smoked bacon, center cut (preferrably 4 slices)
- 2 very thinly slicked heirloom tomato slices
- 1 leaf of romaine (the end of the leaf...not the crunchy part)
- 2 slices of "Texas Toast" white bread, toasted and buttered
- enough mayo to coat each slice of bread

Since I typically eat low carb, i replace the bread with whole leaf romaine (lettuce wrap).

Chewy Bacon. And then add more bacon ...
Garden Fresh Tomatoes
Crisp green lettuce.
Miracle Whip.
White bread .. lightly toasted.
Pepper to taste.

A wedge of white cheddar cheese on the side.
And a clauson pickle as well.

VERY COLD ice tea and lemonade mixed together to drink. Ice cubes in the drink.
A lemon or lime wedge with it.

Dessert ... Chocolate cake with fudgey frosting and a scoop of French Vanilla icecream.
Or, if I'm feeling old fashioned, a whoopie pie.

That's a perfect COMPLETE bacon sandwich lunch.

That reminds me of one that I have done in the past.
Peanut butter, bacon and maple syrup on toast.
It was good.

Two slices of my home made bread (made with 50% brown and 50% white flour) buttered and given a splash of ketchup and a good coating of ground black pepper. Add to that a free range egg and two or three heavily smoked slices of back bacon still squealing for mercy. Heaven!
