Are there too many Dodgy posters on the internet?

Ats is one forum of umptieen sites on the internet which has messaging forums.

I''ll get straight to the point are there too many Dodgy people on the internet, i mean havent you recently encountered a dodgy internet forum, thread or poster on the internet.

Where do these Dodgy types come from, can we profile them?

Do they have jobs?
What hours do they sleep?
Are they on Meds?
Are they most prevalent in an age range?
Are they ex crims?
Are they Bradley confused gender types?
Are they Feminists?

In my experience the dodgy ones are those seeking to create profiles of the rest of us.... the NSA would be a prime example. Google and it's advertising spiders another.

Yes, yes you can. ATS unlike other sites gives you the opportunity to see what others write, and where they stand. Just by going to their avatar, and the ribbon goes down you have quite a few possibilities.

I myself sometimes enjoy the dodgy posters, they give me things to look forward too.

Besides the things that you listed are concerns I would have if I was hanging out with someone having a few drinks

Do they make threads about dodgy people on the internet? The problem with pointing fingers is that a finger ends up pointing back at you...

I think a better question would be, are there too many dodgy people in the world?

And my answer to that would be: Yes. Yes, there are.

The internet is just a reflection of the human mind, on a global scale.

It provides a snapshot into the thoughts of the masses;
perplexing is a good way to describe it, for lack of a better word.

I think ill add to the profile list Post dodgers...like draft dodgers they avoid answering direct questions when challenged.

From my experience (and any one who has spent more than an hour online) it's obvious that the internet is FULL of what you call 'dodgy posters'. Message boards/forums are practically a breeding ground for these types. There are an assortment of types of them, however the most common type is the troll. These types literally have little to no outside life or existence, no job, no nothing but their internet troll persona that they have created.

It's sad, really. But expected when the internet opens up gateways to anonymity and the allowance to babble whatever you want...

Being bored at a work or suffering from insomnia, being on mild pain meds, being old enough to know crap happens, no convictions that stuck, no idea what Bradley is-but like to get pedicures, and believe in gender based rolls in a family, I like to post/reply to what is on my mind.

You mentioned other forums...that is alien to me. Have yet to come across a forum like ATS. Most other forums are 99% trolls that only like to feed off of each others quirks.

Even the upcoming mobile site for ATS is hella smooth. My phone never was happier. No other site, that I know of, takes the considerations of its members into heart.

But to answer your question, no idea.
