Help a comic book newbie choose some please?

If you go to the pirate bay.
and you click on the other radio button and then select comics from the drop down you may find some torrents with books to read.

you will need a comic book reading program FYI.

Thanks guys, my main problem finding comics is the amount of them you can see...meaning i cant find a perticular comic to start with. I know i want batman for a start but i dont know what issue The Dark Knight, Legends of the dark knight and even with iron man where do i start? there is Iron man, invincible iron man and iron man legacy. The only comic book ive seen that i liked the art and story to was DC Universe Online but i know ill like alot darker comics.

Start with the "graphic novels" of those your interested in, they start with 1st issues in "Volumes" ...you can catch up that way from the get go.

Stick with DC until you have read all you wish to,but then look further afield.
If you love DC,I tell you with conviction that you will love anything 2000AD related at least as much.
Maybe alot more.
Start with early characters like Judge Dredd and Sam Slade,then progress to my favourite aforementioned masterpiece that is "Slaine The Horned God" by Pat Mills and Simon Bisley.
Then move forward into newer 2000AD territory.
The comic still runs today,and still rocks.

If I had my way,Pat Mills(the main man of 2000AD) work would be taught in future schools,as Shakespere is in today's.
I am not joking.
He deserves such recognition,and may well get it in the future,when the world turns out to be a prophetic replica of his visionary tales of the future.

Can anyone tell me when Green lantern #24 Lights out is released? it looks interesting.And also INFINITY #1 i think thanos is on the front cover but i cant find it to order or pre order.

And is there a star trek original series modern comic?

I've been keeping up with most since I was a kid. Your never to old for them!! The "graphic novels" are great for new-comers, because you can catch-up, and now they are even sold in "barns & noble", plus other places.

Locke & key is definitely one of my favorites!! Everything about it. The characters, the style, the story, very dark all around...
Reminds me of Spawn, which is my all time favorite.
