They should be able to get the death penalty - for willing to plan, follow and execute the plan should be the main reason they get the death penalty.

But I'm sure there will be a group that'll blame the youths for being misguided. Those poor poor kids.

If guns didn't exist, those kids wouldn't have killed anyone.

They should be eligible for the death penalty and that they‘re not? The poor guy who was brutally murdered really did die in vain.

As much as we want to say it's parenting, we have to look and the ideas presented here by fellow ATS members. Whole societies are being manipulated. Just think. How did we go from what looked like a peaceful nation to one that love... GTA, Lady gaga, ghetto'ness, etc. We are only human, corruption lives in all of us but are we feeding it?

Our environment changes us regardless of whether we acknowledge or resist. We are impacted by that which we are in contact with. Listen to gangster music long enough, and it will impact your subconscious. Same with anything.

there is a conspiracy about how CCA and the rap music 'overlords' decided to turn the music from fun and jovial to something violent that condones illegal activity.. around 1989-1992 time frame.

What we have here, as a few have pointed out, is a culture that has been thoroughly brainwashed. This is what happens when games like Grand Theft Auto which trivialize murder and glorify mayhem are pushed on the masses (not to mention movies of the same ilk). We have "gangsta" rap, which glorifies drugs, violence, rape, murder, alcohol abuse being pumped into our youth. We also have poop on the T.V. like reality shows which portray humanity at its worst, and loser "stars" making headlines for peeing in mop buckets (Biebs). Add to that porno, which is proven to be extremely harmful. Did I miss anything? We have all this garbage as entertainment, and we wonder why adolescents have a tough time honoring the sanctity of life, or have a hard time distinguishing between fantasy and reality. These kids lived out a GTA fantasy. We are an evil country, who prefer gang-banging thugs as role models instead of clean-cut, working, go-getters with family values. Because the latter just isn't "cool." Our society is indeed sick, as has been pointed out. We made it that way.

I am quite sure jesse or al are willing to explain it. Those poor boys, victims of jealousy, were just in killing the Ken doll look alike, he had it ALL. And he had a very pretty girlfriend.

Planned / Conspired murders on innocent people...sounds like terrorism to me.

I wondered where the White House was on this:

WHite House Spokesperson said they "hadn't heard about this shooting"

Joe Earnest continued on to say that " the President has already spoken on these types of problem a few weeks ago...the president doesn't want to interfere with the police work and investigation that the shooting is going through"

Oh!! Like with Martin/Zimmerman and it was already being investigated....oh....

People make mistakes, stupid people make even more stupid mistakes, some people go along for a ride that they are not exactly sure where its headed. And sometimes things go a bit too far, should that cost you your life?

What I was alluding to was a degradation in our moral compass. You see, I follow Jesus. It's hard going. What I have always liked to do is point out what is wrong with a scenario without even having invoke His Name. "Why," one may ask. In our current situation, relativists run rampant. Truth, ethics, and morality are relative. I enjoy pointing out that this is pure fallacy. It is as ridiculous as a man claiming the sky is green and since truth is relative, therefore the sky is green. So bringing this full circle, we have a society that has chosen relativism as a higher intellectual path than that of "idiotic religious dogma." Since the enlightenment, man has waged a war on God in the name of "intellect." Yet, see what this has wrought in the long run? Look at this situation and you see 3 youths indoctrinated in this mindset, thoroughly stupid, and "bored." I believe someone here mentioned the breakdown of the family. Fact. T.V.s and video games were the true parents to these kids.

Cain certainly didn't shoot Able when he invented murder, so to jump to such a conclusion that basically states that: "if guns didn't exist, murders and war wouldn't either" is incredibly naive. Evil people with evil intent would still murder others. They would find other tools to do the deed.
