So what was the cold war all about then? Why did we have nato on one side and warsaw pact on the other side? Why the embargo on socialist countries that forced socialist countries to trade only among themselves?

BTW substitute "socialism" with communism because those countries were communist. The communist manifesto was bull# zionist propaganda that makes no sense. What they call communism is really anarchy; classless and stateless society.

I am no fan of communism. I do like mild socialism. Banking should be public endeavor. Get rid of the federal reserve semi-PRIVATE central bank. Nationalise the oil/gas industry, nationalise transportation, nationalise higher education, nationalise healthcare, nationalise nuclear energy, etc just for example. Then keep everything that is not critical for national security in the private sector.

The Democrats are not supporting the middle class any more than Republicans. They are actually destroying the middle class by raising taxes on everybody and printing more and more money making the dollar more worthless and destroying the US economy. How can we even have a middle class when Democrats have destroyed the manufacturing base with regulations? Their support of the labor unions also shows their communist agenda because they have to sack the middle class to pay for union pensions.
I know someone who was former city commissioner here who explained that there was money to pay for a utility upgrade but the money instead went to the local union members and their pensions and now we have to have our rates raised to get more money for it. And now the rates are going to be permanently raised because of it.
That is the dirty little secret most people don't understand.

Well then you need to realize that while some "mild socialism" can help starving children not starve, it always leads to more and more socialist programs, and I have said many times that even Karl Marx knew that socialism was just a bridge between Capitalism and Communism.

And the way this works is they just keep expanding more programs and a specific technique used by fabians and democrats in general is that we just need this program because this poor person over here couldn't get insurance because of the evil parasitic corporations and therefore we have to fleece the taxpayers to make up the difference...well that is the reality of it but they consistently parade specific people in front of everybody to make them sympathize with individual cases. If you don't cave to that pressure than you are just called heartless cruel selfish big business blah blah blah whatever derogatory name they can come up with to guilt you. And I've had it done to me on these boards too.

the same technique is used in the cultural sphere pushing cultural Marxism by getting people to sympathize with particular people or a group of people with minority status. And then if you don't support that you are called racist bigot blah blah blah whatever.
What they are doing now to push Agenda 21 is called The Delphi Technique to manufacture consensus(because guilting us into saving the environment didn't work as well when Al Gore cashed in on his carbon credit scam).

No doubt some unions became corrupt with collective bargaining agreements that gave guaranteed votes to democrat party. Mafia was tied into the democrat party as well.

But this is only half the story about destroying the middle class. The other half is lack of tariffs and wall street deregulation that allowed or encouraged massive offshoring and automation. So much offshoring and automation that we have become a second tier *service industry* nation much like some eastern european nations that belonged to the warsaw pact.

Now we need an extreme welfare state where taxing the hell out of the upper middle class to support the lower middle class has become the sad norm state of affairs.

Both the carbon credit scheme and the "assualt weapons" ban had elitism written all over it. It was complete bs and I have railed against those evil clowns many times even been called names in the process. Socialism means nationalising some industries, nothing more.

No one has any rights to my car, home, guns, wife, small business, etc. They belong to me and me alone!

Still....that being said the relative sanctity of Property Rights is one element of our society that is embedded in our culture....Agenda 21 probably will not go over well either.

Actually I support property taxes 100% because it goes to the township and is put to good use. I even support state and national taxes to a degree. What I don't support is big business bailouts and all these spontanous and surreptitious war agendas draining the budget. If you fail then declare bankruptcy and if you still cannot make ends meet then please go out of business. There should be no "too big to fail". I dont care if its aig, citicorp, bobs burgers, daves bait and tackle, or chase manhattan. I would never have the balls to ask the government for any bailout because capitalism demands integrity. I expect the same from everyone.

Adam Smith alluded to the idea that capitalism cannot survive without integrity, it is as essential as supply and demand. The problem is the action before the bailouts was a business plan, that is the worst thing to consider.

Yeah sooner or later we might get those rfid implants and digital currency rammed down our throats in the name of "socialism". Socialism does take your private property though various means. What good does it make to say they don't have a right to your car or house or land when they can take your land through eminent domain, and your house if you don't pay real estate tax or your car if you don't pay the property tax, and you can't make ends meet to pay those taxes because all costs are rising and the govt is printing money because they don't have enough to pay for Obamacare and the value of the dollar is almost completely gone and that causes a hidden tax through inflation????????

Even with Hegelian Dialectic, communism and capitalism are both still separate systems on their own accord. In the cold war, the Elites made money from armaments, and when the Cold war was over the spectre of terrorism reared its ugly head and they are still making money from war and armaments.
