Good Morning ATS!

I'm still waiting for my coffee to finish brewing, my eyes are all puffy and I had a terrible nights sleep. It was just to dang hot last night and I can't open the windows at night due to allergy issues...bleh...

So today I feel crappy...

But.... the coffee is done brewing so here goes that first sip.....

Well, I almost made it here before it hit noon today!
Actually I did, but I was doing some reading, trying to get caught up!
You people post as fast as you talk!
I'll probably never get caught up on reading the whole thread!
Staying up late to read interesting, new threads,
just when I should be calling it a night, doesn't help either!

(_)o, Siiip, ouch, it's still too hot!

Some good songs posted. Gave me some nice flashbacks!
Haven't thought about those in years!
'Manic Monday' used to be my life back when our 5 kids were all in school.
Especially during the school year! They were all in grade school at the same time one year!
And 4 of them were all in their teens at the same time at one point!!! I have no nerves left!!!

Aaah...those were the days... Sssiiip....
When songs had lyrics you could understand,
without having to 'squint' your ears to make out the individual words!
When the songs told a story or had a message that you could relate to...
When the music (overall) was easy listening to & calming...
It didn't make your nerves all 'jumpy'!!!

Oops, my 'ancientness' is showing!!!
WOQ quick covers it back up!!! I sound like MY parents!!!

I was in at oldest son & d-in-l's house the other day.
One of the neighbors had something blaring.
So loud the whole neighborhood could hear it.
All it was, was screaming & noise, (I can't even rightfully call it 'music'!)

It sounded like something that would be used to scare crows out of a corn field!!!
I could actually feel it raise my heart rate & make my skin 'itchy'!
I can't imagine that is good for the human body!
Could use it for psychological torture maybe!

Sigh...Sip...(_)o

Well, back to work! It's been so rainy here that the teasel weeds,
that I let grow for the butterflies, are almost 6 feet high already!
They are weeks ahead of schedule!
The honey bees used to like them too, but I've only seen two of those in years!
There won't be very many butterflies this year either if this rain keeps up!
But mosquitoes, yeah, it isn't going to be pleasant!!!
And the yard is starting to look like a field! We've had rain almost every day for weeks!!!

Well that was one hell of a ride

Don't think I did my back any good

But my soul is souring, beautiful day, beautiful scenery, time with the beautiful Mrs C away from it all. Man we actually had time to enjoy each other on every level, I'm not going into detail on that bit, but that forest will hold a special place in my heart forever.

Just about to carve the roast beef and round off a damn near perfect day.

Man I love life

I love the rain, and miss it. When I was living in southeast Alaska it was rare to see the sun so eventually you embraced the rain or got really depressed over it. Sounds almost like wherever you are.

I'm glad you have enjoyed combing through the posts!

I personally was surprised that so much music and fun has come out of this thread, and I am very happy that people are enjoying it, that just makes my day a little brighter!

I get to deal with loud music a lot around here as it is a large apartment complex, but have learned to just kind of tune it out if it is not to my liking unless someone complains, then I gotta go knock on the door and ask them to turn it down. Always hated doing that, you just never know what is gonna open the door and come flying at you.

The wife and I are going out tomorrow night for a little while.
Will be the first time in a few years where we have been able to go out and enjoy ourselves

Found a baby sitter already and I am pumped to get some time alone with the little lady.
We need it badly.
All work and no play makes Dark a very dull and grumpy boy.
Same goes for my wife...lol
