Plant a seed and watch it grow.

Get close to God by tending his earth and his animals.

You will realise that the plants and animals are the earth and the universe,

condensed into conscious lifeforms

and that you are the earth and the universe,

able to observe yourself within the universe and in doing so see God.

Everywhere.

Buy some land and become a Farmer.

The Universe wants this.

This is why you feel unfulfilled.

Answer these questions:

1. Do you have a job? (unemployment is near an all-time high)
2. Do you enjoy or at least, you can tolerate your job?
3. Can you pay your bills, with some left over for fun and/or savings?

If you answered yes to all of these, then quit it, you're miles ahead of the curve on this one....

Grass is greener syndrome....and the grass may be greener on the other side, but it is unknown grass, and who knows how long it will last. Since there's a drought on (economy), might want to keep eating the good grass.

Hi OP...it sounds to me like you are becoming aware/awake.
Did you ever read any of smyleegrl's thread "The Waiting Game...Do You Feel It?"....a lot of us talked about a 'feeling'. Some referred to it as a 'waiting' feeling, but many appeared to feel that they should be doing something different.

Seriously, we were born to parents (upon whom we were dependent)...into families (with existing dynamics)...sent to schools (filled with myriad 'other' personalities)...and then most of us...went to work. Many of us couldn't afford the education to allow us to pursue something we love, so we took jobs to pay for necessities to stay alive.

We were taught that the world is a certain way....only to finally realize years later, that most of our beliefs were told to us by other people. Sooo....you finally step back, take a look at your current society...and realize that you are SO far from feeling fulfilled/content....that you just don't know where to start.

Pretty much the exact reason that I was drawn to ATS.

That sucks, mine is around 40 miles. My commute is usually an hour, sometimes add 15 min in the morning. The way home though, seems more like an hour and a half to two hours some days. If there is an accident somewhere (and usually is).

Wow, an hour to go 20 miles, that really blows.
