You see, my issue is with this ubiquetousness of "self". To my understanding, in love there is only other, not the self. Total love means forgetting self and being absorbed in the beloved.

I dont forget the self, but I do become.absorbed, and in that absorption,I find my greater self. So love is shown as an opportunity to improve the self.

Can the 'Self' be improved? Only an 'individual self' would want to improve.

What else would motivate one to seek the truth, if not the desire for greater? To desire to improve due to dissatisfaction with what is is one thing. Desiring to improve your ability to accept things as they are is another. Improvement through love improves without changing anything, but improves by allowing the self to manifest increasing glory of what already exists.

When the truth is found - who is there to seek?

Knowing who you are is one thing. Knowing what you are is another and requires seeking.

They are the same.

Are they the same and separate? Or are they one and the same?

So when the truth is found - who is there that can seek?
The seeking ends. Nothing more to be had - this is it!
Nothing 'else'.

There is no effort to be made to improve. By accepting things as they are and stopping.the search for.other, improvement happens on its own.

What needs to improve? Who can accept or stop?

Going from not knowing or being able to see the truth to knowing or being able to see the truth is the improvement that happens without a change in anything except attitude. No further change required.

Total relaxation into boundlessness - resting as peace eternally.
Totally in love.

When the one energy is contracted it feels like fear - it doesn't like it - it is unpleasant. The fear feeling makes the one energy seek to end the feeling - it seeks outside itself to end the feeling. This creates the illusion of time (it seeks outside presence) - in pretend time an individual dream is dreamt.
When the energy relaxes it finds that the love is here (without fear) not somewhere else or some when else or due to any condition.
The one energy contracts (feels divided - fear) or relaxes into boundlessness (oneness - love).

How can you know that the supposed truth found is not merely a dim reflection of the real truth?

It is obvious. If it happens without knowing what happened it makes one seek to understand what happened. It is found written.
