Why is this site, ad.doubleclick.net, loading up my back button with well over 50 lines? This has happened on several different sites. I visit a site and click on something. When I try to go back nothing happens! I try several more time with no result. When I hold the back button to see all the sites I have been to it is loaded with this site ad.doubleclick.net. I have counted up to 50 then quit. I type in the original site I wanted to go back to or another site to get back to what I was doing. I feel like my computer is being hijacked!!! Is there anyway to stop this from happening?

There are lots of ways of blocking unwanted ad servers from taking over your browser, invading your privacy, and dropping tracking cookies on your computer. Depending of course on what browser you are using (IE / Mozilla). But sadly ATS's TOS will not allow me to tell you, or even encourage you to do it. Alas, the all mighty dollar wins.

Google is your best friend in this case.

Clean your temp files, browsing history, and dump your cookies.

That is my only uneducated guess.

Ad blockers are not to be used on ATS because the ads generate revenue for the site. I will not say anything more.

Ive seen this alot, and are being told it has to do with "faulty scripts" or something like that. (forgive me my lack of knowledge)
My back button has been hijacked for a looooong time, i stopped using it.

Examples :

-http ://d5p.de17a.com/fallback/google?au ...

-http s://s-static.ak.facebook.com/connec

-http ://static.dk.facebook.com/connect/x

-http ://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/page

-http ://www.facebook.com/plugins.like.ph

The funny thing is though, i have always been against FB, and i have never opened the site on my computer, and i even refuse others to open it on my pc too.
But yet still, somehow their cookies control my mouse buttons :-)

Funny huh.

Relevant information.

As others have stated, running a good system clean every so often, such as CCleaner, Gmer, Malwarebytes, etc. is good policy. So is clearing the browser cache often.
