This one is pretty close to Fred, although the legs and body are more like a pearl black/blue.

According to Google he is a Saint-Andrew's Cross Spider. Non-Poisonous.

Again, I extend a warm welcome to any and all of our overseas members to come and spend some time with Fred, and really get to know him.

Actually... the word isn't Poisonous... it's Venomous...

I replied to this to clear something up..... All spiders are venomous..... it is a matter of to what extent..

Saint-Andrew's Cross is a type of Orb Weaver..

I use to collect Venomous snakes for a anti venom program.

The only thing i used was a snake tong

Snake hooks will get you hurt if you trust them.
Snake hooks are for handling large non Venomous snakes.
snake boots or Snake Guards are also handy
