Because this is a troll post and will probably be shut down or deleted as soon as the mods realize it is what it is.

Would it still be offensive if our culture didn't have a stigma of the "Evil gay" people looming over our heads?
IF the OT didn't say "you should kill gay people" would it still be offensive to consider the possibility that Jesus was Gay?
Personally I don't find it offensive... Just as I don't find being gay offensive...
People are who they are...

Now who is misunderstand whom? I didn't say a thing about it being offensive as a result of homosexuality being offensive. Whatever each person thinks about that, in their own private thoughts IS their OWN private thoughts. It has no relation to this.
This is as offensive as suggesting The Virgin Mary was actually a prostitute and Jesus was a bastard child. I've heard and read pretty detailed things claiming that outrageous rewrite of history too and THAT is what makes it patently offensive. If there is basis ..ANY basis.. to suggest history may be in error? Fine.. That's what critical thinking and debate is all about, after all. Hashing out different thoughts and often researched opinions of events.
This reeks of trying to twist one of the most recognized and revered figures across more than ONE Religion, as it so happens, into something which nothing in history suggests he was. Seems to be a lot of that lately. Theorizing wild and outlandish things based on nothing more tangible than the day dreaming or wishful thinking of an Op....regardless of topic.edit on 25-4-2013 by Wrabbit2000 because: (no reason given)

Awesome reply is awesome. How about a rather intelligent viewpoint and a possible longer comeback?

I couldnt help myself from laughing on that one...
I mean... lol... how can that possible count as an evidence of a man's sexual orientation?
Really? You see how ridiculous that sounds? "Oh he must be gay because he rode an ass to town"... what the hell? So if he rode a large cow with huge teats, would that make him heterosexual?
You hear some crazy crap on ATS but this will show up on the top 10 and I'm not even religious or trying to defend anything... this is just common sense and a genuine fight against stupidity.
