Well with so many seals dying, have to believe they are being murdered and would really like people to wake up and ensure this world is in the hands of the people with the criminal overlords in jail. Thats what they need so badly. Like the teens who robbed from us recently, but neither the police or the mother of the one, did much and were very lame in my opinion, I see this as enabling them to continue to ruin their own lives and others. We are also enabling the criminals when we don't stop the corruption. Its really important to not enable, but with compassion, put an end to the corruption.

So if someone in an incredibly dangerous profession has a higher death rate than other people in a similar profession, they're being murdered? The SEAL Teams go in where others fear to tread, and do missions no one else wants. That means they train 5x harder, which means they have more accidents. It's simply math.

I dare you to say what you just said to the face of any serving solider.

Go on please, just do it, I would bet you wouldn’t be posting that type of insulting rubbish on ATS or anything for that matter for quite some time.

One of my best friends is a serving solider and he agrees with me. In fact, several of my military buddies have these discussions all the time. You seem to think all U.S. military people buy into the same government propaganda. I assure you, they do not.

Besides any "military man" who would strike me, an American citizen for exercising my right to free speech which that man fought for would be a hypocrite and not fit to wear the uniform. Ironic isn't it? LOL

LOL.. Unchained pitbull. it's posts like this that prove my post above. I agree. These men are trained dogs.

Come on, guys, we're talking Pinal. People have really bad accidents at Pinal all the time, because it's the advanced training area for USSOCOM jump specialists. It's also the testing area for new parachute designs.

There are lots of people who die out there. Usually it's FOUO'd, and you don't hear about it in the news. If they happen to splat down in the adjoining golf course (a definite issue for bad HAHO jumps), then it makes the local news but you rarely hear about it outside of the county.

MANY Team 6 guys have bought it out there. Some SF. The last golf course lawn object was also a Team 6 guy who scruffed a HAHO by popping his chute while he was tumbling, that was a couple of years back.

Now that SEALS are news again for a while, they're posting stories about training accidents. It's not new, you're just now hearing about it, where before you didn't.

You get a fair number of deaths out at Yuma, too, when you do your ram-air jump training and take the night jump course.

What Pinal May Look LIke

Well that is true....we ask these boys to be the best in the most absurd of circumstances....it only goes without saying that sometimes practice can be deadly.

I do not wish to belittle anyone's service....I have a very soft spot in my heart for those that serve in this crazy confrontation....my "adopted" nephew was my little buddy....of all my friends, he was the only 'boy"...me and several of my other friends had daughters...."Derick" was the only boy out of 6 of us....we all kinda considered him "our boy".....I cannot begin to explain the horror of his suicide....it happened in front of so many...as if it was a cry out...a scream for attention.

I know many will speak poorly of his actions....I have so many torn emotions...I knew him from the time he came home from the hospital as a baby...he road home in my car....my heart is broken....I knew that little man forever...and he thought the world was so terrible...that death would be better...and I have not been able to wrap my brain around that yet....

I am sorry...this happened a while back and generally I keep it blocked out. Bu occasionally...for whatever reason....Derick comes to visit...and I weep and I miss him...and I post weird stuff online in his honor....

Nothing wrong with that. It's a way to honor him. I'm sorry that he chose the way that he did, and for your loss. Too many of our soldiers feel the same way, and are choosing the same path.

Has anyone even questioned if Seal Team Six even existed?? I'm not educated in the area enough to back up any facts or anything. It would just make sense for our govt to create this team to "take out" Osama and then they all "die" later on.

Amen and thank you brother....

I have thought long and hard about these things and I know tptb do not really care....

what broke me was considering what might drive a young and promising mind to think that death was better than life....that tore me apart in ways I never imagined....sure, I have been around other suicides...but not like this....a bright and clever soldier.....a person with their future at the palm of their hands....deciding that death was better than life...it was a shattering event for me.

I have my own children...3 daughters....that all knew Derick.....they too are broken...but in a different way...he was one of them...of their own flock so to speak...my oldest is silent about it....my middle daughter (who was closest to his age) completely avoids conversation about it....and my youngest who is 19 now....and she wants to know why we kill everyone that disagrees with us.....this is going to be along and complicated conversation....
edit on 3/30/2013 by Jeremiah65 because: (no reason given)

Seal Team 6 has been around from long before 9/11, just they weren't in the news prior to the Bin Laden raid. Not in a way that most people paid attention to.

Why didnt you quote when I said that soldiers have self control and dont let their emotions effect their better judgement. have you ever heard of a US troop striking a out spoken civilian. No. Even though a few few of those westboro baptist idiots definitely deserved it

Has anyone even questioned if Seal Team Six even existed??

It’s interesting that you should ask such a question, it kind of goes back to what I was saying before about SEAL Team Six now being famous and the comparison between Neptune Spear and Operation Nimrod. Before may 1st 2011 few people who have little interest in Special Operations units had heard of Seal Team Six or DEVGRU to give them their correct name. Just like before may 5th 1980 nobody had heard of the SAS but they are now a house hold name, why because they became famous just like Seal Team Six has now become famous.

Seal Team six has existed in one form or another the early 1980’s they have a very interesting history as a unit, and yes they most definitely do exist. Its also probably pertinent for this thread to also highlight to you that the SEALs killed n the Helicopter and the SEALs that took part I the Bin Laden raid were not the same.

I suppose a question to ask would be, ' If other Spec Ops team members are killed in training, would it make the news in the same way?'

Who knows, it could be just coincidence. Could be something more to it.

I'm not sure where this goes and I am not sure if it has been posted yet. Apparently another member of Seal Team 6 has went down for the permanent dirt nap...parachute accident.

I know many of them died not long ago in a helicopter crash.

This soldiers name was Chief Brett D. Shadle. I wonder if this was the guy that recently (anonymously) stated the Osama raid did not happen as the Administration said it did. I suppose we will never know for sure.

member of Seal time 6 killed, another injured

not that I am a huge conspiracy theorist...ok...yes I am...

But doesn't it strike anyone else funny that this team is dieing (killed?) off?

It's totally possible I suppose...It just seems a little odd to me...but maybe that's just me

who knows?

These Operators train as they would fight and thus the risk goes up accordingly. SEAL TEAM 6 members in the past also suffered loss of life in training accidents , it is a documented fact and not conspiracy.
