The government is not slapping the face of religion. The government if it be for same sex marriage is slapping the face of God who has declared men with men and women with women is AN ABOMINATION!

I certainly hope you aren't a woman trying to say teach things to your god's proclaimed superior gender.

1 Timothy 2

12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man;[a] she must be quiet.

Jehovah, God loves all men and women but He is also Judge of all.

Oh... and since the American government is God...

...Wait...

Since mankind laughs at God, God will also laugh at your calamity when it comes, those who slap His face will not go unpunished.

Adorable. I'll be sure to relay this information to everyone who has ever committed adultry, or eaten pork, or lied to their parents. Insufferable heathens. Let 'em burn! P.S. peace and love, meek & mild.

Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world.

What an incredibly massocistic thing to say. "We killed a dude in the name of religion; IT'S OKAY! It benefits us all because of post-dated religious indoctrination! You see, God has the power to create the world, design everything, and love everyone and listen to all their prayers.... But forgiveness? Can't handle it; must kill self."

I get the impression that you're the sort of person that give the G&L communities the grief they try so hard to fight against.

So flippant, so casual in your "Chosen" opinion. They chose it. They live with that Choice. Blah blah blah.

You know, some people actually say that it's not a choice. *Gasp* *Shock*

I'm sure you understand.. Remember that time you chose to be gay for a while. Had all that gay sex.

Oh wait, you wouldnt choose this? You are heterosexual? You like the feemales??

Hmm, what do internet. If a gay person chooses to be gay, does a straight person choose to be straight?

I know I didn't. The first time I looked at boobies the same way I used to look at a chocolate cake, I knew I wanted a slice of that!

Never mind then...

It's not like the old days when black people chose to be black and had to live with that choice, being black and being treated as a second class human being because of it... is it.

Well then obviously people over the age of 55 shouldn't be allowed to get married either since they won't be procreating.

Oh my God, the sanctity of marriage. Should we talk about the high divorce rate of HETEROSEXUAL marriages?

Hilarious, isn't it.

I mean, two people who love each other and want to be treated as equals to the rest of society, are told "Not on my religion, you wont. I won't have no funny bunnies making a mockery of the sanctity of my marriage. No sir."

...ignores reality when Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, et al, get married for 3 seconds and tweet about how great they are after making home porn videos.

But it is a Right. Not marriage itself, but the Right to equal protection under the law. Marriage conveys certain legal protections, civil unions not so much.

We should also kill them.

It's not natural to be over 55, they should've died to disease related to their teeth and gums years ago, by God's law of nature.

People came along with their science and facts and reality and any other voodoo you can think of and convinced people to brush their teeth. Now people are living longer, it's DISGUSTING.

Being old is unnatural.

Vote Rick Santorum 2012.

*sigh* this old fallacy. Those "examples" are different in the sense that they all harm someone. Gays are consenting adults whose actions have absolutely no bearing on your rights.

Why do people still insist on using that crappy argument? Is it cognitive dissonance, or do they lack the intelligence to see what is wrong with it?

1. i made no argument.
2. i never said gays could not get married.
3. everything i said was in relation to the stupid idea of "rights."

clearly you are the one lacking intelligence. typical American filth.

1. Probably should have clarified that

2. No, but putting their demands for equality in the same category as mass killers and child molesters is pretty low. Many of the more extreme opponents use that very same disinfo tactic in an attempt to imply that they are the same.

3. Explain why rights are a stupid idea. Opponents often use similar tactics to hide their true feelings.

I asked if a lack of intelligence is why people use that logic, I didn't say you lacked it. You calling me filth makes it seem like what I said was a bit too close for comfort. Hmmmm.

Don't know why you used my nationality though.

When the pedophiles demand the right to marry 11 year olds what then? This is a slippery slope. This is just another issue that America does not need. It will not end when they get the right to marry. It is part of the destruction of the church. It is the further eroding of morals in society.

So you are comparing two homosexuals who wish to marry (which there is nothing "illegal" about it) to a pedophile who wants to marry a child (which is completely illegal)?

Talk about making a huge leap

equal protection under the law.

this i can fully support. but i will never believe that anyone has a "right" to anything. if the law is rewritten to allow gays to merry, then so be it. their living together, pooling resources and thus should get legal resources that heterosexual couples receive. but saying they or anyone else has a "right" to marriage or any other legal advantage will do nothing but further flue the narcissistic entitlement mentality that has infested the Western world.

When society starts to evolve it never goes back. It's always moving forward and becoming more inclusive . Legalized Gay marriage is inevitable, all the people trying to fight against are on the wrong side of history, you will look like fools and your children and grandchildren will be ashamed of you.

So they are trying to change the law to only allow homosexuals the right to marry?

Nooo... And, though I may be wrong, you seem smart enough to know that's not what I meant.

In the United States, Gays have always had the SAME rights everyone else has had. Those rights, however, don't always suit the sexual preference of homosexuals.

See ya,

Okay then, the state should be able to tell you who you can marry, and it has to be the person you are the LEAST attracted to. You okay with that? Because it's only then that you have the same rights as gays.

Because it destroys the sanctity of marriage for those who believe in it. All for 4% of the population. It will also creates yet another great divide in America just like Roe vs Wade did. We don't need more division. The people have voted on it and said no. Go after Civil Unions. Why destroy the sanctity of marriage when you can get the same result with civil unions? Why must "marriage" enter into the equation when they obviously don't believe in God/Bible anyway? This is just more destruction heaped onto society for no reason.

Jimmy, its narrow minded bigoted attitudes like yours that are whats wrong with this world. Grow up. And feel free to take offense to my post because I absolutely loathe your opinion, which likely is something you heard and not even based on your own conclusions.

Sanctity of marriage....you fool. look at the divorce rate, parenting failures, cheating, etc.... and you tell me that Gays are destroying something? Get your head out of your fake bible and live in reality..

For the record I am straight.

Lets not argue amongst eachother...Isnt this what "they" the gov, are trying to do...turn us against eachother?? I was sure that, thats apart of their agenda. When it all comes down to it, its just us against them.

My favorite argument against all this BS comes from a comedian
he says the argument shouldn't be about gay marriage at all, it
should be about the government not being a part of it, i mean
think about it, would you invent it if it weren't already invented?

"honey this stuff is so good, we gotta get other people in on it,
we gotta get the government in on this, lawyers and judges and
stuffs".

nice strawman.
the marriage law doesn't include attraction or detraction. sigh.
