I was surprised this isn't the top topic on here. This year could be the last chance to explore Mars as it could be struck by a huge comet. Even if it doesn't hit it is going to be bombarded by debris.

If it does hit 7 months after Earth will be hit by debris.

"Respected astronomer Phil Plait, author of Slate's Bad Astronomy blog, has calculated that even if the comet is just nine miles across - a low estimate - an impact with Mars would cause a one billion megaton explosion.
That, he says, is 25million times larger than the largest nuclear weapon ever tested on Earth."

"Comet C/2013 A1 could pass within 23,000 miles of Mars in October 2014
But the unpredictable nature of comet orbits mean it could veer closer
If it hit the planet it would leave a crater hundreds of kilometres across
Huge blast would destroy all probes on and around the Mars"

Actually, it has been and is being discussed in the proper forum, here:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

It has nothing to do with 2012 and there is no conspiracy.

Yes but surely the 2012 forum is also appropriate?

The 2012 hoax was to create doom fatigue, yes it is a conspiracy

Why?
It won't make its close approach to Mars until 2014.

you should change it to "space exploration" or "fragile earth" forum..
2012 is over

Ah. Ok.

So all the talk wasn't about 12/21/12. It was really "2012...more or less."
Got it. Nice to have such fluidity with prophesy, ain't it?

For some it was, being right on the mark over such a long period of time for some large happening would be just to much. Couple years either side makes way more sense.

Couple years either side makes way more sense.

A 4 year span for for something (none specific) to happen. Can I play?

I predict something will happen between 2020 and 2024.

phhh... you know nothing.
Something will happen much earlier than that. I predict 2014 to 2018... with a specific emphasis on dates on or near to even numbered days.
I also hear a "S" sound associated with it. And water. Definitely near a body of water.

Whenever you post anything I feel like John Lithgow is talking down to me.

If this comet does destroy the surface of mars what will the implication on earth be?

It wouldn't destroy the surface of Mars but it would put a large dent in it.
Probably an impressive sight and some dead machines. A shame, very nice machines.

You have answered your own question..

Build up an Event for 2012

No show

Real Event 2014 or sooner, doom fatigue. Doom normalized, event management in place.

The 2012 date has been proven to be wrong due to miscalculation. Also rather than one sudden event, 2012 may represent the transition or last year of relative normality. The calm before the storm.

So all the 2012 nonsense was disinfo?

Seems a lot of people who tried to explain that it was nonsense were the ones who were being accused of being "close minded" and "disinfo agents". So us rational people were right, but now the ones who were wrong have yet another chance to be proven right because it was all disinfo. But wait! What if this comet is disinfo too? Oh no! It's so confusing!

Nice try for an explanation for posting in the wrong forum.

No. It has been proven to be wrong because nothing happened.

I still believe Leonid Elenin is code for an event that is a a problem, this name is rolled out on very select occasions.
It could be that ISON is the real problem. Smoke and mirrors to distract.
