For awhile, I thought it represented my words were "Music to his ears'', then I realized what you said is correct and I asked him about it. He said it was because our native languages were different and many times when I spoke it was just sounds to him, and meant nothing.

I guess I sounded sorta like Charlie Browns Teacher to him.
Bwaa Bwaa Bwaa!

We are still great friends and he will appreciate your interpretation.

First off, I know the feeling

I wasn't trying to interpret just asking a question.
You had to have known somebody would ask?

I was in my Nova in Atlanta and did not check the oil during the trip. A girl pulled up beside me in a 68 junker something and wanted to race, I punched the gas and heard a loud bang. The motor threw a rod through my block. My dad had a rollback take it to Spartanburg and he sold it to that preacher/mechanic for $500
The chrome headers were worth more than that. He was glad to see it gone but I cried! I have to figure U2U out, sorry but I was trying to write a bit in the literature forum.

OMG, I would've died...I can't believe that he sold it for $500! Could you imagine how much it would be worth today if you still had it and had dropped a new motor in it?? My father had a '64 1/2 Mustang back in the late seventies and early eighties when he was in high school, had some of the best time of his life in that car cruising between town and Edisto Island to hang there on the weekends (my uncle who lives on Edisto has been in the island's biggest band for decades as the bassist, the band is called the Bonefish, they're pretty well known in the Lowcountry so you may have heard of them or seen them perform, especially at Dockside on the island), and he sold it, not thinking much of it, and to this day he'll tell anyone how he wishes he could go back in time just to hold onto that car. My ex-husband and I were riding on Reid School Road right off of Wade Hampton Boulevard in that '72 Gran Torino back in 2005 (we weren't married then...I was only sixteen), it was raining pretty bad and we came around a curve and the car just slid sideways into someone's front yard (even though it had Kumho performance tires on the damn thing...lot of good that did us)...when it slid off-road, it went over a fence and it ended up bending the frame. We couldn't afford to get the frame pulled at the time so it sat in the garage for a long time until he sold it for the absurdly low price of $1500, which was absolutely ridiculous because that's how much the custom paint job was worth alone...we could've gotten a lot more for it but it just pissed me off that he sold it at all, I would've liked to waited it out and gotten the frame pulled and kept it but oh, well. I still miss that car.
Haha, good luck on figuring out the U2U thing...I've only had one person U2U me so I guess it isn't used much.

This is from 89 but as you can see the uniform is just the same as the Citadel. We are always considered to be the little brother school to the C. I just knew being from down there that this would be a highly recognized uniform. We used to have to go to Charleston to be escorts at historic banquets and debutante events. The fun job was bringing the rich and famous their champagne at the Camden Cup horse racing. People would fly into Camden from all over the world to get drunk and bet big money on horses. Also we had to go see former Senator Strom Thurmond for all sorts of political events dress in full uniform. Ah those were the days.

Shhh! Don't tick 'er off, Slayer - she's at Earth Citizen #23, which is pretty high on the totem pole - I'm all the way down around 2,762,556,022!

Or at least I would be, if I were an Earth Citizen.

Also, a cursory perusal of this post, and comparison of the photo there with my avatar, will confirm that my avatar IS me. That's right, I am "The Curmudgeon" personified. I STILL don't know how or where you found that character in my avatar!

I think it was some sort of the Black Arts.

I'd recommend Decaf for her.

She's been way out of control these days.

Read her latest thread?

Total chaos....

An old joke around Alberta moons ago was a farmer took out an ad in the local paper that read:

"Local farmer looking for new wife. Only requirement is she owns a tractor. Send picture of the tractor".

Butbutbut... chaos is what vkey08 does best! She's a genius and master of the art!

And, in all honesty, I think she's been putting caffeine "supplements" into the coffee...
