Here's an interesting pic I came across. A wind tunnel model of an early LCA design displayed at Aero-India. Note the canards and a more traditional
delta wing with very little fuselage blending.

The mastering of the cranked delta and its complementary fuselage design has enabled super-maneuverability making canards useless in the final LCA
design. The lack of canards also improves its RCS

Hmm...that looks like a Phantom with F-16 style wings and canards
Wonder why they decided to change the wing shape from a traditional delta to the one that looks like the type used in the F-22's wings...And also
wondering when they will put the Kaveri engine in it.

Well LCA is good for India only because they could build atleast one fighter jet. otherwise they have to be dependent on russia all the time. even if
LCA cannot beat any other aircraft thats fine because it laid base for india to produce their own fighter jets.

The FC-1 is outclassed by the MiG-21 Bison. For a comparison of capabilities of LCA v. other aircraft, check the previous pages of this thread.
Pakistan I expect would eventually get the J-10. They have literally no other options for a 4th-generation fighter. But this would happen only after
China is satisfied with their own J-10 numbers, and even then only after a less turbulant enviroment, so it ain't happening soon.

I don't care how many 'ats points' you have... that is the single most ignorant comment made in this entire thread.
And considering the thread, that is a helluva accomplishment.

I did laugh when I saw that post centurion, something told me it wasn't serious, it COULD'NT have been
Are those pictures of the Tejas in combat colours, immediately above, of a mock up? I ask because the airbrake looks drawn on in the first of them.
Also, does the steel wind tunnel model above date from the time when HAL and BAE were working together on Tejas as it looks remarkably like the BAe
P.106 which was proposed to India around 1986-88?

Sorry chap. Good jokes are usually self-evident in their humor.
Waynos,
The P.106 was an early Eurofighter concept IIRC? Do you have any more on this proposal to India?
And yeah, that's just a mockup of PV-2 in combat colors
