My nephew was a contractor for six months in Kabul. He come home on a break and would not go back because of security issues. He was a computer security specialist and did a lot of work at the Kabul airport. He would not go into specifics but he told his mother that he worked in the room where the six contractors were killed at the Kabul airport just months after he left.... His words were, "I would have been in that room"

I wonder if the US would have let VC guard the camp in Vietnam?.

I want to make something clear.

Nowhere in anything Ben has said or we have reported is there an allegation that Compass ISS was "selling weapons to the enemy", "involved in the distribution of weapons to the enemy", or knowingly, as a corporation, condoning any of these activities.

Nowhere.

That's not the implication at all.

The only allegation is that by virtue of their allowing these weapons on their site, against all the ISAF, NATO, UN and U.S.regulations, and Afghan law, and allowing the subcontractor's (a company owned by a local business person, and the record shows that many of the "local" PSCs were owned and operated by former "war lords" with vague or unknown loyalties) guards to deploy with them, sans any accounting of these weapons (who would log illegal weapons?), and apparently no background vetting of the "guards" deployed with them, per Ben's testimony, established an environment that makes it much easier for the enemy to get their hands on these illegal weapons.

THAT'S IT.

There is NO evidence the company, or anyone else was "selling" or "delivering" these weapons to the Taliban.

Springer...

Yea, that is like the Vietnamese stand guard around your camp .. who is VC and who is not ..... stupid policy for profit .....

So how did Compass get all those US military uniforms to give away with those RPG's?

And isn't it strange that CNN has some video of them training to attack the base?

Check out part at 1:53.

So the Americans destroyed what equipment they could not carry when they withdrew. And a RPG burning in a fire.

British accents and British equipment among the Taliban. British accents being detected in the Taliban's transmissions?

I wouldn't imagine that the uniforms would have been hard to get a hold of. Now your second video, it isn't uncommon for this tactic of leaving behind or distributing this type of video of them showing the dry runs on an attack, this reminds me of an assault I was in, in Ramadi "jun jalet" in april of 2006 where shortly after the attack it shows them planning reading their martyrdom letters and all of them in their war gear as a propaganda tool to show their sympathisers that they are organized and and capable. These videos usually get anonymously distributed to local media or other means. If I had a way I would link you similar vids I brought home with me from Iraq so you can see the similarities.

I would be interested in your comment on the last two also. Because when the evidence begins to build up it is just like when hackers decided to shut down al-Qaeda websites promoting attacks on the West. The military complained because their websites were shut down. The al-Qaeda websites all belonged to the US and the War on Terror crew.

Its funny how that works out isn't it, if I wouldn't know any better its just another way of altering the masses perception of things. I am checking out the last 2 vids right now.

My assessment is that if that base was abandoned in such a way to focus more on an urban area is telling of something in the works that is above my pay grade. The western forces if they chose to could probably obliterate that whole encampment with a tactical drone strike if they chose to for all we know they may have a bigger plan for example the droplet style assault of a near by urban center after time to push fighters out to what they consider a hardened pos and then just get destroyed from the air. As far as american weapons it appears those were collected from either an ambush or stolen some how which again happens quite a bit believe it or not, I think that because the optics on the weapons are things like an-pvs peq4 and some others if they had the NVGs they would be showing them off day light or not, I have seen this many times before. Now on topic again with Camp Bastion it appears to me the assault was a success due to lack of lots of things I posted a link a page back of a declassified assessment of Compass on Page 71 of the document reveals some very disturbing and telling information. Examples of operating without properly or not even trained at all guards, obvious lack of leadership and accountability, rampant corruption and all kinds of things. You may be disturbed if you choose to read that document. Also I have previously linked articles highlighting the theft of allied weapons from the same location in the past so if this is going on then even since then their was a network stealing weapons and all of that and no actions taken to effectively stomp this out then and that was in 2010.

Here I will post again so others don't have to dig so far

Great discussion!

I pray that I'm wrong with this assessment... but this is what it looks like to me:

For anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear, it is plain as day that our country runs the drug war on a global scale as a hopping business enterprise.

"We" apparently facilitate (and fund) the growing fields, the packaging process, the crime syndicates that do the grunt work, the distribution process (including air travel), and grunt multi-level marketing sales network. We even provide them with military-grade weapons!

There doesn't seem to be one part of that product lifecycle that the government doesn't lend a powerful helping hand. Yet, drugs are illegal and there is a "Say 'No' to Drugs" campaign going on. Our prisons are full of drug addicts and are psychologically trained to hate authority more and get worse into a life of worse crimes.

Why are these drugs illegal? Do the powers that be really care about the well-being of these people? If they truly cared about drug addicts, they would send these people to drug addiction rehabilitation centers (when EACH prisoner costs taxpayers an average of nearly $50,000--each!--there are better ways to use that money.).

Truth is the "war on drugs" is the best advertising campaign ever. Like in PR, even bad press is good press. Hearing about it drives the demand, especially for those who seek to defy authority (i.e. individuals who were previously psychologically abated by authority figures). But the cycle gets started because the individual has severe "issues" they need to be facing... whether disappointment with life or an overwhelming desire to escape past trauma, they turn to drugs because there is a "specialness" that is applied to them via "Say No to Drugs" and the anti-authoritarian status that's also perpetuated throughout certain sub-cultures (notably Hip Hop and Rap).

So, if this war on drugs is a giant hoax to get anti-authoritarians to enter the self-destructive cycle (with no real effort to truly help or rehabilitate anyone), then maybe we're better off making all drugs legal, using the war on drugs monies and taxpayer funds spent on non-violent drug-only inmates, and teaching citizens young and old that there are hard drugs out there that will destroy your life and that everyone has to take self-responsibility to shape one's life for the better.

The same applies to alcohol consumption, which is currently legal... but a large number of citizens fail to use that drug with measures of self-responsibility.

But no, we have a war on drugs that our nation seems to be "in bed with" the business of it... and people who desperately need counseling help are thrown into an even worse self-destructive cycle... and instead of EVERYONE seeing these hard drugs for what they are (guns pointed at one's own head), we have a system that glorifies them on TV, in movies, in songs, and in everyday interactions.

We used to have a nation built on self-responsibility. President George Washington smoked marijuana to relieve headaches just like other great forefathers. They were expected to understand how to use that herb responsibly and healthfully... and they did. Apparently, they used pot for good purposes. That's what self-responsibility and a culture of self-responsibility yields... in abundance.

The idea that the government operates in conjunction with criminal groups and carries out crimes that any individual doing would go to prison for life doing infuriates me. So, while I note that this scenario is rather plausible, I much prefer to hope that I'm seeing things incorrectly, hearing things misreported, and overall putting puzzle pieces together in a most incorrect way. The USA our forefathers built was never intended to be a criminal organization.

Wow. What a thread! Great job, Springer.
I will be interested to see how this all pans out. Mr. Timmons seems to be a bit shady, but that is probably why he was hired in the first place. Haha

In total agreement though that these claims need to be investigated. If true, these allegations are serious. But the ONLY way that this will be investigated is we remain vigilant. There are a lot of powerful people that will not want news like this to reach the light of day. Its big time money over there. Status quo and whatnot.

Again, great work.

I'm more inclined to say that what may be happening in Camp Bastion and what has happened is gross negligence involving a group of small individuals that happen to give a benefit (for profit) to a larger group of people with nefarious purposes. If anything if what is going on (if its going on) probably is stepping on the toes of those alpha agencies illegal arms deals anyway and these people would be hammered on those grounds anyways. I dont think that is the case but there is so much info to digest that it is hard for a single mind to put it all together with a resonable sense of clarity right away it will take a long time going over and over the information to say the least.

I have zero expertise in this area.I couldn't find what the heck make/model this could be that was being destroyed in the video you posted.

I dont think it is a weapon or at least an explosive weapon because if it was the person filming it so close to the fire is an idiot, it looks to me like a piece of equipment that would go with an ecm jammer or radio communications if it was radio or for weather it was probably made by either harris or by raytheon. To be honest IDK what that is either

If you watch that video correctly you might learn something, nowhere does she say “we created Al-Qa’ida”. However she does give a very good summary of what the policy was and the problems it created.
