End of the World Event on Dec 21 - What time exactly? Which time zone first?

A little bit out of sheer curiosity and a little bit to hear your opinions I would like to ask you a question. Been searching and haven't found any thread - how peculiar - devoted to this subject only.

What time exactly will the event take place? What time zones? Who shall be the first to feel relieved and who shall remain in a shroud of uncertainty?

Next Friday should be interesting here.

I think it would be safe to assume, the time zone to go by is one of the following

-The timezone that matches where the mayans/aztec lived, and or where they made or left the calendar.

-Somewhere in the mid east or somewhere correlating to where the sumerians lived, or Jerusalem time because if it really is the beginning of the end Israel area will have a big part

-Where ever on earth hits 2012 first.

I sugest using the official countdown clock (i've been using it for years) they have all the time zones and everything easy to see so you know what time it will be for you when 12 21 12 hits.

Surely all event timezones should be measured by GMT... after all that's where the rest of the world get's their timezones from.

So I am going with 11:11am GMT

Well, give or take 5,100 or 11,400 or 26,000 years..whatever standard or civilization one would like to measure this by, I'm going to be very generous and forgiving to our poor uneducated ancestors ( ) and allow for the fact they may be off by as much as a few hours.

Personally...We're in the time frame for whatever to do whatever it's gonna do and I won't feel real comfy until after the 21st. The 22nd will do....after some aspirin, I'm sure. Several....even.

People just won't feel very 2012'ish to do something really dumb AFTER the 21st. That would seem silly even to a die hard. No.. Whatever happens, happens by midnight rolling around the world like New Years to close the day this time ..not open it.
