Oh right, maybe our creators were the Annunaki. But even they had to be created did they not? A better understanding of that would be that the Annunaki did indeed get involved with genetic engineering and bred themselves with the primitive humans they found here on the planet. But even the Book of Enoch accounts for the Fallen Angels coming to earth(recorded in Revelation as well) and came unto the daughters of men and bred a race of giants. So these are the Watchers and the Nephalim, but even the angels were created so again, the Creation is still by a Creator of some kind.
I am particularly fond of Hindu Cosmology, the Vedas and the Puranas.

Here is an interesting passage from the Rig Vedas

The Rig Veda questions the origin of the cosmos in: "Neither being (sat) nor non-being was as yet. What was concealed? And where? And in whose protection?…Who really knows? Who can declare it? Whence was it born, and whence came this creation? The devas were born later than this world's creation, so who knows from where it came into existence? None can know from where creation has arisen, and whether he has or has not produced it. He who surveys it in the highest heavens, he alone knows-or perhaps does not know." (Rig Veda 10. 129)

And this is interesting too

The Rig Veda's view of the cosmos also sees one true divine principle self-projecting as the divine word, Vaak, 'birthing' the cosmos that we know, from the monistic Hiranyagarbha or Golden Womb. The Hiranyagarbha is alternatively viewed as Brahma, the creator who was in turn created by God, or as God (Brahman) himself. The universe is considered to constantly expand since creation and disappear into a thin haze after billions of years.[citation needed] An alternate view is that the universe begins to contract after reaching its maximum expansion limits until it disappears into a fraction of a millimeter.[citation needed] The creation begins anew after billions of years (Solar years) of non-existence.

The puranic view asserts that the universe is created, destroyed, and re-created in an eternally repetitive series of cycles. In Hindu cosmology, a universe endures for about 4,320,000,000 years (one day of Brahma, the creator or kalpa) and is then destroyed by fire or water elements. At this point, Brahma rests for one night, just as long as the day. This process, named pralaya (literally especial dissolution in Sanskrit, commonly translated as Cataclysm), repeats for 100 Brahma years (311 Trillion, 40 Billion Human Years) that represents Brahma's lifespan. Brahma is regarded as a manifestation of Brahman as the creator.

Thanks for your comment.... It's just that the heading of the thread "

Hey Hard-Core Christian Right Conservatives! Here's How Backwards You Really Are!!!,

... might make Christian Conservatives a bit riled, and want to respond....

And your point is taken... as the Gregorian calendar was done in something like 535AD... but the point is that all of history revolves around ONE PERSON... regardless if the actual date is totally accurate or not.. Maybe it's off by a couple of years.... The point is... that the person for whom the calendar revolves is not Confucious, or Buddha or even Allah...... There's a reason for that.... maybe (God forbid!!!) it might be true!

OP - Just how many of these pregnant teenagers do you think are actually hardcore right-wing conservative Christians?

Same question goes for the boys who made them pregnant.

Seems to me the problem is a lack of morality creating these conditions.
Just because young people in Europe are more responsible (and perhaps more intelligent) about their sexual behavior is not a reason to blame either religion or the state.
Why? Because it's the parents responsibility to teach their kids about safe sex.

I don't agree with teaching abstinence - but most kids already know what makes them pregnant and do it anyway because they can then drop out of school and get paid to raise a child.

No...the "problem" is that you and so many others seem to think that teenagers acting like NORMAL HUMAN BEINGS is somehow "immoral". People whose sexual organs function have sex. Teens are people with functioning sexual organs. IT'S NATURAL, NORMAL, AND HEALTHY.

Let's let them behave like real humans instead of shaming them into the backseats of cars or foreclosed houses or whatever, huh?

BTW...the Netherlands has a FAR MORE robust set of social programs for mothers of ALL KINDS...be they teens, single, married, or whatever. So we can eliminate THAT nonsensical argument that teenage girls are "just in it for the money". LOL.

That's real nice.

Have you ever walked the streets of Amsterdam?
If you have then you would know that children are posted up in store front windows for sale. Legally. Or at least tolerated.

If it were illegal, then they wouldn't be there for everyone to see. now would they?
If you think i'am lying, then go look for yourself.

Go drive down to the crappy part of town in any major metro area in the United States...you will ALSO find underage prostitutes walking the streets there too.

That doesn't change the fact that it's illegal...does it?

And this is why you use a dental dam, and female condom when engaging in cunnilingus with a new partner.. I know this, because i grew up in a community with a great sexual education system.

Sadly, the women i dated in Arizona/Texas had no idea what it was and some wouldn't let me use one with them, because they had never been educated on what it's purpose is. Their loss.

My guess is that

Maybe those European governments are not feeding the mind of their children to have sexual relationship as much as American mind washing program is doing.

Maybe Netherlands is not owning a big Porno industry.

Maybe it is because weather is cold in Netherlands. So the sperm freeze before fertilizing the egg.

Maybe they put some thing in their food. So men and women have some sexual issues.

Maybe the youtube is not a right source for studying the statistics.

Maybe people in Netherlands don't have access to the internet.

MHO , is that you want to see zoo , go to the zoo. Watch the monkey cage or lions cage or anything you want.

Don't justify the corruption with these wrong assumptions.

The main point of this thread is not clear.

Some more "openness" for Op to ignore......

According to the State Department's 2011 report on trafficking in persons, "the Netherlands is primarily a source, destination, and transit country for men, women, and children subjected to sex trafficking."

Dutch Child Sex Ring -- Where's the Justice?

Rape victims :

Netherlands 0.8% Ranked 7th. 100% more than United States
US 0.4% Ranked 13th.

Crime stats: Netherlands vs United States
Anyone can point out another Countries flaws. Trying to stigmatize "Hard-Core Christian Right Conservatives"?

Preposterous.

What do crime stats have to do with the backwards and ineffective approach towards sex education, teenage sexual behavior, and abortion that the christian right seems to flock towards no matter how many times it fails miserably at producing the desired results?

What does PROSTITUTION or SEX TRAFFICKING have to do with anything? I'm not advocating prostitution...I'm saying that the Dutch way of raising their children regarding sexual behavior is demonstrably healthier than the prevailing manner in the U.S.

Prostitution is legal in Nevada....does that mean that all teenage girls are hookers there?

It's incoherent and has nothing to do with anything. Stick to the topic.

But.......

OP said it wasn't true. A misconception.

Also, what happens when the "protection" breaks? Is it worth the risk? Minutes of pleasure? Children don't understand what that risk is, but they will know the consequence when they become infected.

The greatest sexual education comes with responsible Parents. Not a "school" teaching them the birds and the bees.

No...I'm just pointing out how unbelievably ethnocentric you are to think that the world revolves around YOUR imaginary friend instead of somebody else's.

Now...stick to the topic about how backwards the christian right is regarding sexual issues.

I agree. And the fact that 2/3 of Dutch parents are totally cool with their teenagers getting it on under their own roofs and having "romantic sleepovers" is statistically 9X MORE RESPONSIBLE than the prevailing American attitude that teenager's having sex is somehow "bad".

Thanks for using good sense and acknowledging that the Dutch are simply far more responsible than American parents are in this department....AS THE STATISTICS INDICATE.

Start a new thread and invite me into it if you want to discuss how silly it is to think that there was ever a guy named "jesus" running around in the levant 2000 yrs ago...much less that everything is "based off of him".

I'll be happy to turn your religious beliefs on it's head there.

However...HERE please stick to something that is actually relevant.

I told you already. Your comparing a few states, to ALL of the Netherlands. If that's not skewed, I don't know what is. Then you added in your "political" crap to the mix. Yes, its still Preposterous.

Maybe if you put both Pro/Con, people would take this thread more seriously. But that wasn't your angle, right? It was designed to finger point, as MANY have already stated.

Sex crimes and sex, go hand in hand. Your "perfect" society, and role model, has its problems. More statistical data, you didn't give ATS because it didnt fit into your agenda.

America is at a 40 year low, for Teen Birth rates. You comparison is skewed, because you felt the need to add Hard-Core Christian Right Conservatives, which are NOT in your statistics!

Please provide for me the exact "statistic" that has Hard-Core Christian Right Conservatives as its demographic.

I await patiently.

Ummm...no "sex crimes" and "sex" DO NOT go hand in hand. If they did...then everybody who has sex is a criminal. LOL.

In fact..."sex crimes" are FAR MORE FREQUENT in social groups that have rather draconian views about sexual morality.

The catholic church and boy scouts of america come to mind right away.

Just stick to the topic at hand rather than try and turn it into something it's not. Nobody is declaring "war on christmas" here...I'm just CORRECTLY noting that the policies and attitudes towards teen sex and abortion in the Netherlands is NINE TIMES MORE EFFECTIVE at preventing teen pregnancy and abortion than those of Mississippi.

What does that tell you?
