fixed a couple of flaws i found while on another computer. i think this screen may not be up to par. Or i need to clean it. Either way......

Used to work with an architect that would tell us, "Ill have that to you next week." To us, we heard "Monday or Tuesday". What he meant was "Midnight on Saturday".

I wonder if DTOM is an architect?

ETA: my first entry is the one i did for me. Not gonna wear it until I enter it.

Architects

My nemesis, I can bend the laws of physics, I have done what is supposedly impossible.

Miracles are however a tad beyond me thus far.

Tomorrow I have to explain to an architect that the design WILL fail as support is generally required. Luckily it's a wardrobe not a building, I've built a mock up to show this.

Guess what ?

It'll be my fault for misunderstanding the drawing that is suddenly a 'Concept'.

Even if it has "For construction" written all over it

I used to work in consumer protection. I had a doozy of a case. The archy designed the house, big two story place. The engineer does all the calcs. Lots of drawings by this time. The builder starts building the house.

Builder has a problem so he sends letters to the archy and the engineer basically saying, guys, you made big boo boo. They both wrote back saying do we didn't, just build it to the plans, if you need us to come out and explain it to you it will cost you.

Builder builds the house to spec. Through the middle of the stair case is this massive beam at neck height. Was so funny! Cost the archy and the engineer a packet to rectify. Builder was happy as, his letter protected him and he got all this extra cash to rectify the problem.

Owner had a sense of humor and had a photographer come in and take a great pic. He had it framed and added pics of the two idiots. Probably still sits next to the stairs.

Yes, that is exactly what the problem was. You have no idea how much fun it was to interview them and ask the obvious questions. Was funny as. Two self important twits squirming in their seats with nowhere to run and hide. They did not appreciate my sense of humor! But I did!
