I like the text. Looks like Papyrus font.

The image might needs to be replaced ((i think you alluded to that).

Image size should end up at 200x445

It's just a piece. The character is done in the main AV the only thing left is the wall with hieroglyphs. However it's got smoke in the background too. Still experimenting. Yeah I know about AV size. My crops were the wrong size when I uploaded here. Thanks.

Hi Guys and Girls.

This is very slightly off topic although you never know someone may like these as an Avatar.

So I wrote three short stories for the current short stories comp.

When I write about a Space Ship I usually build one so I have a model to work from

You see, it is a bit, well, embarrassing, to be using Lego but it works for me.

So the big question. Without a lot of work, is there a way to make these look a little less like Lego?

Just so you have some background the short stories that goes with these are here

I just thought I would ask. Could start a new trend for people like me that cannot draw to save my skin. I am limited to stick figures, and even then they suck! Lol.

Hey, you put some time into making those models & they look great, so no need to be embarrassed about using legos.
It doesn't matter what you use as long as you get the finished product that suits your needs.

When I get time, I'll tinker with one of them when I can [no pun intended....LOL]
Or knowing BFFT, he'll find it fun as well, when he's not busy working.

I'm headed to your story links now....

Every time I introduce a ship in my books, I build it. It saves making mistakes. In book 2 you enter the hatch and turn left to get to the bridge and in book 3 you turn right. Silly mistakes like that are picked up by readers. I have a whole fleet now all to scale, except for the Dreadnoughts. They would be 2.4 meters long, I just don't have enough bricks!

It does not take me long to build the basic ship, but I go through quite a few rebuilds to get it right. Perhaps 1/2 an hour for that one on the first attempt. Never timed myself lol.

Some of them even light up with LEDs.
