I can hereby confirm that Denmark will officially accept the Palestinian bid to become an observer state with-in the UN. I expect many other nations to follow suit and I also expect this to result in different world view of the middle eastern situation.

Based on graphics form the other thread about how Palestinians could achieve independence, it is not clear to me that a two-state solution is either wanted or the best solution. In fact both sides and the world could learn a whole lot more by teaching the arab and the Israelis to co-exist under equal rights and then deal with the remaining insurgents that for what ever illogical reason hate democracy and fellow man, be they jew or muslim.

The sad thing is those insurgents who hate us so much are accepting paychecks from us and the western aligned Arab countries. There is too much lies and corruption for a fast end to the issues in the Middle East. I can't see how a country can be a well respected member of the UN security council yet they have no worries bringing chaos to certain countries. Its ridiculous. Divide and conquer comes to mind... Cause the problem then pretend you will also fix it.

I believe what the poster is refering to is that they are exhuming his body to see if he was poisoned. It is rumored that he may have been poisoned with polonium.

OH you just know they will say he was. But here is a question. Where did it come from? The soviets at the time stood to lose if a peace deal would have been struck between israel and the PLO. But of course it will fall on the israelis even it it was stamped USSR.

Here is an interesting development, if true:

"Palestine UN Vote Expected Thursday; Hamas Endorses Plan"
By Jason Ditz
Global Research, November 27, 2012
Antiwar.com 26 November 2012
www.globalresearch.ca...

The long-discussed UN draft resolution on upgrading Palestine’s status to “non-member observer state” is expected to come to a vote on Thursday, and is receiving a last-minute shot in the arm with an endorsement from Hamas.

Hamas had previously expressed ambivalence about the move, but in the wake of last week’s Gaza War is moving toward reconciliation with Fatah, and today’s endorsement underscores how much those unity talks have already progressed.

I wouldn't read too much into Iranian warships visiting ports in the Red Sea. Iran has been deploying ships on anti-piracy patrols for several years and goodwill visits are nothing new.

What I do expect is that the Iranian Navy will deploy ships into the Atlantic possibly during 2013. Expect a transit through the Suez into the Mediterranean and obviously out through the Gibraltar Strait. Obviously Iran, with its recent warship deployments to the Mediterranean, has been working up to an Atlantic deployment. I can't see any chance of Iran attempting to escort vessels into Gaza. The Iranians will simply transit the Suez, make a few good will visits, and make an excursion into the Atlantic. Nothing will happen as per the previous Iranian warship visits to the Mediterranean.

Iran to Hold Exercise in Atlantic Ocean. In addition, Iran will deploy its naval assets to the Atlantic Ocean with the view to demonstrate its combat capability, said the admiral. Sayyari declared in Sept 2012 that Iranian Navy would expand its presence in international waters in order to protect Tehran's interests, reports REGNUM.

I'll take it with a truckload of salt. It is all the same rhetoric that has been doing the rounds for a very long time with none of the factual data that has come from IAEA and Western Intel sources. Of course it is full of unnamed sources and a new twist, unnamed countries.

Just too stupid to be believed.

Interesting movement of the Russian Navy Black Sea Tanker, Ivan Bubnov. She has now moved away from the Suez Canal. Russian media has been reporting that Ivan Bubnov would be part of the Black Sea Task Force to transit the Suez as part of the anti-piracy group. Has the Egyptian unrest affected transit of vessels through the Suez? Possibly heading back to Tartus, Syria?

Makes you wonder hey.. It seems our friends in the Middle East are not the innocent little victims everyone thinks. But no doubt they will weasel their way out of it if anything was to occur and Hezbollah would be blamed for any conflict all over the Western media outlets.

Some good news for a change,
. . . comes across as a bit two-faced/comical to say
the least

After months of ever more bellicose threats against the Palestinians in the event they carry out a vote seeking UN recognition as a non-member observer state, Israel is quickly backpedaling now.
With the vote expected to get overwhelming support, Israel is now downplaying its past threats of immediate sanctions and forcibly ousting Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, and are now insisting the vote is meaningless.

Lol, talk about turning face.

No wonder Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak is resigning.

Our PM here in Australia was going to vote no to Palestine becoming an observer state. She made herself look like an idiot when her party forced her to change her decision. We may aswell accept it now because somewhere down the track, it is going to happen and the truth is going to hit the world hard...

It wasn't long ago that Prime Minister harper made himself
look as a fool for letting Canada loses a bid at the UN Security Council seat. It won't take much for him to look as a idiot again.

In the end, it would not matter how many bottles of maple syrup Canadian diplomats dumped on the desks of the delegates at the United Nations General Assembly: Canada got thumped and dumped Tuesday in its bid to win a seat on the prestigious UN Security Council. Canada has sought a Security Council seat about once a decade for the last 60 years and has always won the seat when it wanted to – until Tuesday.(oct. 2010)
Embarrassing for Canada

i might be getting my conspiracies muddled here but could this be the bolshevik/zionist push via USA through Isreal to recapture russia before it consolidates its power base by entering into a new gold backed currency with it's neighbouring countries which is likely to choke the euro whilst dancing on the dollars grave and therefore gaining not only the carrot but also the stick???
